Are you removing any walls for your kitchen? specifically load bearing ones? If not just get a cabinet maker or chippy to quote.

    • Is your floor currently concrete or board?

    • The current floor is a tiled in some places and Carpeted for example in rumpus, living and bedrooms.

You going to have to remove the carpet and underlay.

As for the tiles. Better to remove those as well so you have a level flooring to place the laminate. Unless you want to keep the tiles that is.

    • Thank you. I am aware of what needs ot be done. I am looking for profession tradesman who can do the job?

      • profession = expensive

        bamboo flooring range from $55 - $70 sqr/meter installed + gst +10% wasteage

  • We would like to explore all options such as moving it to another location, or renovating in the existing location and lastly renovating in the existing location and putting in walls

  • you obviously want to do a fair bit to your place why dont you just put all your thoughts in 1 post and people can comment based on the full picture

  • Not a bad idea. But it gives me the flexibility to choose different people for different jobs.

You really need to determine what you want to do and your budget. It will get tricky if you want to move things especially structural walls, and cutting foundations to chase plumbing. You will need a permit to do this in vic. But if you are doing a minor renovation e.g. new casework, removing non structural walls, new flooring then you wont need a permit or a builder, then you have the flexibility of organising your own trades to do the work and just manage the job yourself and save lots of money

  • IKEA :)

  • Maybe try to get quotes from serviceseeking?
Just make sure you end up choosing the tradies with lots of positive reviews and (almost) no negative reviews
