Why the urgency? I was some how lucky enough to get the following voucher:
Just for you, and just for a limited time: Get 15% off your next purchase of AU $1.00 or more, up to a maximum discount of AU $50.00 off
Which expires at midnight tonight! - Yes I'm a tightarse and want to maximise the discount but not spend more unless it was top notch for say $30~ above budget.
I'm looking for: A New Laptop (I don't like refurbished ones, sorry), something full sized (14in ~ 15.6in), 4GB Ram… and you can't honestly ask anymore than that for this price range lol…
Alright so I'm not total lazy schmuck, I've been looking the past few hours and found a handful all spec'ed pretty much like this:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HP-T3M28PT-250-G4-Intel-Celeron-1…
And well the only problem is really the fact that its only a Celeron processor, I know I'm partly unrealistic but I was hoping for a Pentium N3540 for the extra cores… less than a year ago I purchased one for the sub $350 range… but now it feels like its a ghost town for ol'mate Pentium.
I'll appreciate anyone's help with my journey, thanks and good night!
The Celeron N3050 has a GeekBench score of around 900 Single core / 1600 multi core
The N3700 has a score of 1000 Single thread / 3000 multicore
OLC Direct has an ebay store (which doesn't seem to have many reviews, but it has 100% feedback, and they are a trusted store in Sydney)
They are selling a Acer 14 ES1 with a much speedier Pentium Quad core chipset for $399
it works to $340 after your special discount.
If you want to buy the same laptop from their store, it's here. Strangely, it's $479 which is a rip-off.
