I bought one of these to replace the battery charger on a Cannon Powershot A3300 and Casio Exilim EX-Z70 that I had misplaced the chargers for.

Works perfectly as described. Adjusting terminals allows charging of batteries with different layouts of terminals.

Forgot to post the deal after I received my delivery and tested the device a month or so ago. At the time I ordered, I searched for the best price and this is the seller I used. Delivered well within the time frame for the free delivery expected time.

Be very careful. The fact that it puts a charge into the battery doesn't necessarily mean that it works

If the charging circuit is crude, there may be no Constant Voltage mode, and/or incorrect (or no) charge termination voltage. Just 0.5V too much charge will be enough for this $4 charger to seriously degrade the lifetime of your $50 or $100 camera batteries.

Also, that is NOT an AU Plug… that is a Chinese plug (no insulated pins) and totally illegal in Australia. There is a risk of touching live pins when inserting and removing this horrid thing from the power point.

Of course it has zero electrical safety testing, and thus doesn't carry the mandatory Electrical Safety Certification that is legally required for chargers and powerpacks sold in Australia. It's very common for cheap devices like this to be putting lethal voltages onto the USB pins, and it'd be a pity if a toddler was injured or killed sometime in the future.

Oh, and there's always the fire risk (also from the Lithium battery, if charging circuit is dodgy) so not wise to leave it plugged in without constant supervision.

But hell - it's the cheapest possible charger you could find from a totally unknown Chinese manufacturer - so I am totally sure that they are legit and this is great quality and they've engineered it to be 100% safe and to provide the highest possible quality of charging for your expensive batteries. **NOT*

  • I've bought cheap replacement camera battery chargers before and they have all stopped working after a few weeks.
