Recommend: Computer Speakers under $100

As per title, I'd like recommendations on a set of computer speakers. Budget being $100 maximum. It's a gift for my partner. She's not an audiophile per se, but does enjoy good sound quality when listening to her music.

Thanks in advance!

Touch over budget, but they'll definitely go well :)

  • Would you be fine with wired connection or do you need Bluetooth audio?
The Logitech recommended by Spackbase above is a good wired ones.

    • Just wired connection would do.

If you're strictly sticking to ~$100, I'd recommend the Creative T20 II speakers. If you're willing to spend a little more, the T40 II's are very nice speakers. Won't have the same bass impact as the Z623's of course (2.0), but far more refined and overall better sound quality, especially for music.

  • Logitech Z533 are around the right price too.

Since you mentioned that she enjoys good sound quality with music, I'll leave for you this review regarding the musical performance of the Logitech z623.

The review summarised in two sentences: Before equalisation - Turns music into movie special effects. After equalisation - Still sounds like three speakers instead of a musical performance.

Headphones give you much better sound quality per dollar spent, if you are not set on getting speakers.

    • She's got a good pair of headphones. The speakers are more towards when she doesn't want to be tied down to the desk. For example, when listening to music in bed etc. Appreciate the link to the review though!

Get her speakers and bluetooth headphones as well? ;)

I have a set of Logitech speakers that are pretty good, but I think they were sub-$50. People have recommended some Logitechs around $100 so shouldn't go wrong with those.

  • My son has some Logitech speakers with a subwoofer. Had them for a few years now.
They sound fine, he either has his laptop or phone plugged in them. and were under $100.
Search for speakers at office works and see what model you like.
