    These are only 2000mAh. I wonder if the 18650 batteries have better life and drain capability or if its just another lithium ion with different connectors… so being 18650 batteries you have the advantage of just swapping them out.

      At this price point the "2000mAh" and "2500mAh" are simple printed lettering. Don't read too much into it LOL.

      In the cheapo power banks, any comparison between 18650 (cylindrical) vs LiPo (bagged) is totally dependant on the quality of whatever junk they've bolted inside there, rather than inherent advantages possible from either technology.

      You cannot swap out 18650 cells in commercial most power banks - the plastic cases are welded or clipped shut. If you are prepared to crack open the case, then you could also swap out a Polymer battery just as easily as a 18650 Cylindrical.

      At the end of the day, you wouldn't bother - the replacement cell(s) would cost more than a new powerbank. If for some reason you want to make your own with 18650 cells, there are proper empty cases available from China. However these are not really worth the effort when high quality prebuilt is available from Xiaomi, Romoss, etc.
