10% off Muhle R89 Razor $48.42 @ Shave Rave + Free Shipping

R89CLEAR

Hello All,

Last sale I said I was done for the year. And I was. However, l was predicting the R89 to sell really well this Christmas and it did, but the R89 Grande outperformed the R89. So I am left with a massive stockpile of R89 Razors and I wouldn't mind selling most of them off to clear space.

The Muhle R89 is our most popular razor. Mostly because it is a quality piece and is well suited to beginners due to the fact it is very forgiving. Beling closed comb, it isn't as aggressive as other razors such as the R41 or Merkurs, but still delivers a close shave. Good if you have sensitive skin too!

So I am offering 10% off the R89. Prices are already pretty low so a good bargain with the added 10%.

Postage is crazy this time of year, so I may suggest that your choose express shipping if you want it before Christmas.

As per usual, should you have any questions, I'll be sitting in the comments section waiting!

Also don't forget our loyalty program is valid for this order, starting an account gives you an additional 250 points and you earn points with every purchase. You can redeem these points to buy anything you like from the store at a discounted rate. For more info, click the earn rewards tab down the bottom of my website page.

Happy Shaving!

I bought the grande and I have to say….it is better than my Merkur in term of close shave. The only thing it didn't provide is the ability to adjust but that's fine. As long as it does the job.

In addition, ShaveRave had really fast response to customer inquiry so I vouch for the owner.

Oh, if you want, you can buy the Astra blades from Amazon. I bought 100 Astra blade from Amazon for like $9.80 USD which I think I will be using for at least…2-3 years….

    That's a saving!

      Under the chin somewhere?

A lot of people cut along the jaw line. You can easily resolve this by using your free to stretch the skin higher up your jaw line. Allows you cut it without doing any funny angles and cuts

        ^^^ this..

lol i'll give that a go, thanks for the tip!

    • to against the grain or not to against the grain.

      • So many people have different beliefs on this.

And I think it depends on your skin type. My skin is excreemely sensitive. So for my first pass, I will go with the grain, this pass isn't very close and just takes majority of the hair off. Second pass I go against the grain and this really tidys things up. Nice and close.

Reason I wait until second pass is because it gives the shaving cream even more time to soak into the hair and skin making it easier to cut and less irritating

  • I've been thinking about a nice razor for a while now. The reviews are good and the price is fair. Hopefully it arrives in time for my wife to tell the kids that it's a Christmas present for dad.

  • I have this razor in my cart at the moment. I have never used this type of razor before and so am interested in what people use by way of shaving cream as an accompaniment.

Pointless to spend on a razor to then not get a better benefit by using Gillette or Schick shaving products (not that I am saying they are bad of course).

    • Answering that question is dependant on your skin type really. If your skin is quite sensitive, I usually recommend Muhle Aloe Vera which is honestly one of the best shaving creams ever produced.

Bluebeards products are good too, but I think they're better to try after you've already tried other types of shaving creams because they do offer some unique characteristics that not everybody may like (slows down hair regrowth for facial hair etc).

I will be selling this brand in the new year, but for now you would have to get it elsewhere… Proraso is a classic favourite and one of the most widely used in the world. If you travel to europe and get a hot towel shave. They'll probably use proraso on you.

I don't sell it yet but I can't not recommend it. Only because it really is one of the best. I would say it is just as good as Muhle Aloe Vera or sandalwood as they are also exceptional shaving creams, but wanted to give you a bit of choice. They both Lather really well… I'm actually not a fan of proraso Menthol smell but I know tons of people love it. And in terms of results…. pretty much equal. Muhle is designed to Moisturise more and that's probably the most notable difference other than scent.

  • Thanks for the reply. So would the shaving soap or tube variety be a better or worse option. I was looking at the Aloe Vera already but format was still to be decided.

    • I would try out with the shaving tube first. Shaving soap is a bit more effort because you have to lather it in a bowl. Shaving tube I use in a bowl too. But you can run warm water over the brush, put some cream on the end and lather it on your face. It allows you to do it in a rush… And better while you're learning.
