Firstly, there was an international seller on ebay selling bulk toothpaste for $110 (With free shipping to Australia) with a 'make an offer' option. Because it wasn't even that cheap, I made an offer of $85 and surprisingly, he accepted. I was really expecting a counteroffer.
When I was about to pay, it stated $85+$20 shipping so a total of $105 (like $5 discount altogether!!). This is despite his original listing stating free shipping to Australia. How is this even possible because shouldn't it be free shipping? Something dodgy is going on!
Now I am in a pickle because obviously I don't want to pay that extra $20 which means I may get a strike on my eBay account. Can someone inform me how this is possible and how I should go about solving this issue?
Thanks in advance!
Usually the buy it now offer has a price section and a shipping seciton that you can fill in. Also you can note what the offer is.
If the seller countered your original offer, and put in the same offer with $20 shipping. Then its your fault for reading it wrong.
If not then contact ebay support.
