Ok, so I'm sure everyone knows how last year Dick Smith had spam emails multiple times a week for a different sale, and we all know what happened with them.
I seem to be getting Roger David emails at least once every two weeks offering 40% off or more storewide. Could they be in for an uncertain future?
Yes, but the sales used to be max of 40% off once a quarter, increasing it so that it's the norm doesn't help profit margins.
I used to shop there for semi-formal clothing, but no longer do.
The quality seems to have gone downhill over the years. It could just be that my tastes have changed.
Definitely has. Their sizing has become consistent and their chinos have been changed to crappy skinny leg.
@Clear: I think it's due to using different manufacturers in China/Bangladesh/Vietnam etc who have many customers whose idea of S,M,L, XL varies.
Some better websites say the size e.g XL is chest=…cm, sleeve=…cm, neck to waist = …cm for individual shirts or jackets but I guess this is a bit too much to ask of lesser retailers' webmasters to provide?
@scottishdave: They provide the information on their website. Purely different manufacturers according to their own staff.
They've been doing it for years. It's just their standard practice of getting more people in the door.
