    • +15

      Add $94 for Xbox One S

        • Then add some extra $$

        • +14

          @Jimmy007: I think the PS4 Pro doesn't support 4K Bluray..

        • +1

          @aycnrz: I mean to buy PS4, didn't even think about 4K :D

        • +33

          @Jimmy007: Neither did Sony apparently…

          @gokhanh: Popular comment incoming.

          @gokhanh:
          sony are part of the bluray 4k team yet they dont support their own format! lol

        • +2

          @vid_ghost:

          So that Sony can tout 4K as a major new feature of PS5

      • +1

        But unless you're looking at a OLED, it's pointless anyway. Especially on the cheap 4k TVs.

        High resolution means nothing when you're looking at a washed out LCD / LED.

        • 4K even on a bad panel still looks great if you ask me.

        • @AustriaBargain:

          You need to have a look at OLED or the last of the plasmas.

    • +1

      what are you on? there's no 4k player for $200, they are $600+ (and the xbone S)
      dont confuse with regular bluray upscaling players

      • +13

        I just bought my new 4K UHD player yesterday from JB for $294 and it came with a free Xbox One S attached - winning!

      • The Samsung UBD-K8500 was available for $250 a few weeks back.

    • +5

      Nah it's not, my post expired out and is over a month old :)

      • +1

        Didn't it auto-expire though? Oh well, you're more knowledgeable than I ;)

  • +3

    If you buy more, combine with this

  • +1

    Lame selection

    • Mad Max is really good. Pacific Rim's not bad either, I mean not great but watchable

      • But are either something you'd watch more than once or twice?

        That's the only time you should really buy a blu-ray. Otherwise rent (online or kiosk).

      • Mad Max is a masterpiece, man of steel good but everything else meh. Plus I've seen them all

        • Mad max makes no sense. Decent action scenes at points… but bland and mindless considering characters are so shallow.

  • NICE

  • To ask a really stupid question - can these be played in a regular BR player as well? (Obviously at a lower resolution)

    • Unfortunately you can't play 4K Blu-ray discs on a regular Blu-ray player.

      • Please disregard my earlier reply

        brotherrfranciz and Phreakuency explained it so much better in their posts

      • The DVD forum drops the ball once again, they could have made the first layer backwards compatible for the first few years of 4K releases.

    • +3

      lol Captain Obvious, I see what you did there…

      Each comes with 4K, bluray, and ultraviolet copies of the movie.

    • +2

      Pretty sure all of these come with 2 discs. One UHD and one 'regular' Bluray.

      • +1

        I'm guessing the discs must be still cheap enough to make to include both versions. Such a waste though as you're obviously buying the 4k labeled version for that reason over the normal version. Yet Microsoft wouldn't even include the disc for Halo 5 in the collectors edition, or the disc for Gears in the One S console etc etc

      • Yeah they come with a blue ray also a uhd disc and also a streaming service thru there website

  • thanks! just bought a few. hopefully will get the $10 gift card as well

  • This has been there for yonks. Wait for a 20% off sale and you can get em for $24 for 2. On another note the only one I would recommend out of that lot is Pacific Rim. Rest are not really worth it for mine if you already have the blu-rays.

    • +2

      Last week they had 20% off. Combine with the wicked Wednesdays 5% coupon brought them down to $11.40.

      • Yeah would be best to wait for a 20% off. These are not going anywhere. Not the best 4k blu-rays out there apart from Pacific Rim and maybe Dawn Of Justice for the extended cut and special features. Hope they add a few more to the list in the coming days :)

  • +2

    Mad Max &……………. nah I'll pass.

    • -1

      I agree, Mad Max I'll pass on.

  • +6

    These have been 2 for $30 for months now.
    And they are 2 for $24 when JB do their regular 20% off DVD/Bluray sales.
    I own 4 of these - the latter 2 I paid $12ea for.

    • +1

      Same here $12 each

  • +10

    check at out at this website and see which is real 4K and Fake 4K
    thats why they so cheap

    • +1

      Darn it, I feel like I got scammed :(

      I bought Mad Max and Pacific Rim in the previous sale…

  • +1

    Got Creed the other day, watched it, and saw literally no difference between the bluray. Not even any HDR brightness. These UHDs are a mixed bag.

    • Yeah I grabbed 2 around 2 weeks ago for $30 superman vs batman wasn't the best
      Mad max was good the 4k showed real good

  • Do any of these titles support Dolby Atmos?

    • +1

      They are all Dolby Atmos I believe - certainly the 5 I have bought are (5th is Deadpool for $35 elsewhere).

      That said being said, of the 2 or 3 movies I've watched so far, there was very little noticeable Atmos overhead content. The rear/side surrounds get 10+ times more sound.

  • I will just get two monthes netflix, it dont need 4k blue ray player…more options, real 4k

    • +1

      So Netflix is 'real 4k' and UHD BR isn't???

  • +1

    This 4k fad seems to be going the way of HD DVD.

    For anyone interested in the Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition the UE is only on the 4k disc and theatrical version is on BR.

    • It's because 4k on panel TV is a gimmick. It just doesn't look any better than 1080p from conventional viewing distances.

      People are stupid though. How about all these people that 4-5k+ for the first LED/LCD 4k panels. Junk.

      OLED, plasma or waste of time.

  • Out of that entire SMALL list , Jupiter Ascending would be the only one I would buy

    Thing I find odd is a lot of people are willing to spend 30-40 bucks a disc on movies
    they spend 300-400 bucks on a discplayer
    they waste 200-500 bucks on 5.1/DTS player
    an 200-500 bucks on sh1t speakers
    they never do proper sound treatment in the room that tv is in
    half the time they bundle 5.1 speakers together
    and they never buy an THX or ATmos reciver
    but the picture is great with onboard sound!

  • Where is the extra 10% off or 5% off like last two deals one on black friday and other few weeks later.
    Just 20% off does not make sense.
    When they offered extra last two times.

    • You can get extra 20% off now.

      • I know you do but if your a subscriber to them on black friday one day only they had extra 10% off, which is a good discount on a expensive blu ray. Few weeks later wicked weds had 5% off extra, not as much of a saving but better than nothing.

        I just did not have the money at the time for what i wanted to get 10% off.
        And just was not happy with the 5% knowing there was 10% before it.

        I was told in my store over email item i wanted was last one and when looking online none left in my state.

        Wtf i go in store they sold one and had two left.
        So was not so much of a rush to get and it may not sell quickly due to its price.

        But thought I may miss and regret later.

        So before hand i purchased a few jb cards people where selling to save a bit more and in doing that saved extra $95.

        But if i had known it was not last one i would have got a few more if i found any to make price even less.

        But cant complain overall got 20% off and saved extra $95 with buying gift cards people sold.
        But i certainly would never buy the item at there normal price can get same overseas half the price and still can even with 20% off and the $95 off.

        But least this edition is in english not german.
