Looks like you can claim rewards points for a credit back. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like I can redeem my points for a statement credit.
10,000 points for $40 credit

Nope.
12,500 PTS for $50 statement credit
9,300 PTS for $50 Coles gift card
I would much prefer the statement credit. Surely they can do it for the same points since they don't need to mail anything out.
I was just saying I will probably continue to redeem coles card, since they impose quite a high cost on the cashback. But individual preference I guess.
I dont see the deal in this?
No deal here. Just a new way to redeem your points - at a much worse rate than gift cards or prepaid cards - albeit convenient.
25,000 for $100 credit doesn't sound too bad, but as someone posted above, Coles gift cards can be had for just under 18000
If we do a "cash" comparison, $500 prepaid visa card is 90,000pts - the same statement credit is 125,000pts - thats 39% worse off.
0.4cents in the $ redemption what kind of a deal is that?
I remember days when 10000 points for $120 credit was just average value
Want to know what the others think - have the same card, yet to claim.
Find it so hard to collect points compared to others, now moving my spending to other cards.
Yeap, hard to collect points, I use it only as backup when Amex is not accepted.
Is that good value ?
