Deceased Estate Lawyer - SA - Any Recommendations?

Just sorting out my grannies house, actioning her Will. Pretty straight forward, no one is contesting anything, but the Legal fees are still in the thousands $ (way too expensive to die)!

Anyone used / recommend a good lawyer, legal avenue for this?

Cheers

  • We have used Clelands in Carrington Street (http://www.clelandslawyers.com.au/) a couple of times for will and probate matters , and found them very professional.

  • Diy probate kit? It was a while age for me, so don't remember details, but don't recall it being that hard.

    • Thanks. Where would I find it, online?

      • I think it was legal kits. You still pay a bit for it, but lots cheaper to diy.

  • Who did Granny appoint as the executor?

There would be no need for a lawyer, if the executor is prepared to act.

Lawyers would only be needed if there is contesting of the decision by any party, which you say there isn't.

An executor would be wise to get signed statements from all parties agreeing to the non contest

But based on your post, a LIVE lawyer would be better if you decided to use one. :)
