Does anyone know of cheap parking options around Flagstaff, Melbourne CBD for Tuesday afternoon next week? Secure parking quoted about $35 for casual parking. :(

I'm bringing my kids in for my work kids Christmas party so costco and early bird is probably not an option.
It's like a 5 minute tram ride, that's free.
After 6 hours it's another $5 for overnight. The other option is Boathouse Drive near Flinders
$2 per hour for 3 hours maximum Mon-Friday 10-3pm
But that is a hike compared to CostcoWriggly 2 year old needs to be restrained in a pram. Otherwise tram ride is probably do-able.
Queen Vic markets? It's a market day, so a bit more pricey but better than most parking from memory.
Just a thought; if you can drop the kids off, then park at Crowns, and take the free tram to your work - it is $6 for 5 hours. Or $9 for 7 hours. When time to go home, you may have to do the reverse, go pick car then pick up kids - unless they fancy a ride in the red tram with you back :-)

Hope it helps.
I think the street parking spaces on Jeffcott Street and Batman Street are at least two hours, don't remember the per hour rate though but they should be a lot cheaper than car parks. You can download the PayStay app to pay for the parking so you don't need to carry coins.
Other than that, there's the Southern Cross/Spencer Outlet Centre car park, but it's about $8 per hour, so not cheap either. If you spend $30 at Coles inside the centre, you get 90 minutes free.
Thanks everyone for your input.
I've decided to go with Secure Parking - they have an offer where if you enter after 2pm, it's a fixed fee - and was $15.50 including the booking fee (4 minutes from my work).
