Added this and other products the free Stan sub applies to.

  • +1

Can this be used on PS3?

    • I too would like to know this

  • Isn't this a dupe - see offer - 50% off gifts under $100 @ JB Hifi

    • This actually lists an item.

  • Ebgames price match

    • +19

      Haha good joke

      • +1

They actually just price matched for me, no questions asked. The people working at my local are nice though. City ones not so much.

  • Is it targeted offer ? I received their newsletter regularly but didn't get this offer . Thanks

    • I only received my email 20 minutes ago.

      • +1

Thanks . Just received email about 2 min ago at 08:51.

  • Thanks for this. Initially had a quick look at the JB email I received and binned it.

Judging by the pictures, this is the latest model remote too. I had a quick look on Amazon where they have two remotes listed, one as (Old Model), and the only visual difference I can tell is that the new model has the + and - printed on the Page buttons to the right of the arrows, and the PS4 logo is on the bottom of the remote (strange they wouldn't include that).

  • +2

92569987150 Looks to be the same code for everyone.

    • Yep this is the same code I got on my email. I just redeemed it so if you don't want to sign up, you can use this one to get the discount.

Keep in mind, AFAIK this version of COD: Infinite Warfare does not include the remaster of COD:MW1 (literally the only reason I was going to buy it). From Activision FAQ:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is included in the Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

This version appears to be none of those, I'm happy to be corrected though!

    • +1

That is correct. EB Games had the Legacy Edition for $77 as part of Mad Monday yesterday if you were after the MW Remastered. This deal is purely for those that want to play Infinite Warfare only.

      • +1

Do you have any screen shots of this deal? Would be keen to try price match it at EB

        • +1

Sorry I don't, but they probably wouldn't price match it anyway. I tried to price match a Pokemon Go Plus from $49.95 to their online price of $45 yesterday and they even refused to do that.

    • +2

I would recommend picking it up for the campaign, it's the best in a while. Probably not worth it at this price if you're not interested in multiplayer.

I assume the remote has an IR transmitter…do you actually need a PS4 to set it up and use it as a universal remote for your TV and receiver etc?

Edit: Actually, according to the manual below, you don't need to set it up via a PS4, and it looks like it actually has an IR receiver too for the IR "Learning Function":

    https://support.pdp.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/2164021…

    • Yeah BT only I believe for all functions. Otherwise it would be a sweet universal remote.

      • I bought it as a sweet universal remote

  • +8

Bought. Now.. where to get a cheap PS4?

  • +2

Damn just bought the one from eb games last night for ~$30.

When I get it from EB delivered do you think its possible to refund it? Or would it be store credit only?

    • Take it in after Christmas claim duplicate present line, they should refund…

      • Don't even need to wait till Christmas. Just say sibling also purchased as a present, so you're going to get something else rather than double up.

        Did it the other day.

  • Does this come with the old COD?

    • +3

      No, only Infinite Warfare.

      • +3

I'd prefer MW remaster for $34.50

  • +7

Lol $34 for infinitive warfare they sure are desperate to get rid of there copy's :)

If they where selling the remastered modern warfare stand alone I would of considered it but stuff iw

    • +2

      My thoughts exactly.
Even though they say they never will, I'm waiting for the day they sell MWR seperately for $34. Then I'll pick it up

  • Bought. Nice one OP.

  • Thanks for the instructions on how to find the code in Gmail OP, that was wrecking my head!

  • Doesn't seem to work with the PS Plus subscription

  • +1

92569987150 here's my code won't have use for it

For those considering the remote, please note the comments from previous owners here:

The remote seems well made, picked one up at EB for $28 a few days ago. :-/ I was surprised that the most commonly used buttons seem to have a micro-switch, nice touch.

  • +1

The code is no unique BTW

    • Oh wow didn't even compare to the one at the top. 100%

  • +2

I feel like such an idiot paying $129 for infinite warfare LE and only played both games a couple times

    • You are not alone bud hahaha

    • +1

Why did you only play a couple times? Quick review, go!

  • Remote plus 3 mths of Stan for $20 not a bad deal that one me thinks.

  • Thanks, just placed the order online, paid $19 for the remote.
I mostly want it to try out STAN.
Still waiting for the STAN code.

+1 Just in time for the weekend

        • Strange, I didn't get a Stan code when I brought the PS4 remote control at EB Games for $28 and it's doesn't mention on the receipt either. Can't be bothered going back there for another trial code. Maybe JB HIFI only prints them on receipt.

I got the Stan flyer that had the code when I brought PS4 slim from Big W.

      • +1

I bought online and picked up in store. Just got a pickup confirmation,no receipt. Hopefully I get the email on Friday. Anyone else get a stan code from online pickup.

        • Same here. Want that Stan code!

        • @Sweaty-penguin:
you have to email them if you didnt get a reciept (like me) they responded to me today with the code

  • Does anyone know what the trade in price is for Infinite Warfare at EB Games?

    • +3

  • Happen to near a jbhifi, order the COD immediately:)
    thanks OP

  • ordered remote. thanks ops

  • +2

Just came back from JB Hifi, the remote is actually not from SONY if that matters to anyone. It's a 3rd party licensed product.

    • It's the official remote. SONY doesn't make their own.

      Edit: https://www.playstation.com/en-au/explore/accessories/univer…

    • Yeah that's ultra bizarre. Sony used to make their own branded remote for the PS3. It's more than a little odd that they wouldn't want to make own official branded remote for their own PS4.

Perhaps they feel the market isn't worth pursuing & instead collect nicer royalties on licensing.

  • Want to buy COD IW to my son, may I know can use the coupons in store? Thanks

    • +1

Yes you can, you just have to print the email.

      • +1

        Thanks

    • +1

Yes you can just show them your code.

  • I dont have PS4, but 1 of my Sony TV remote is screwed, can i just use this purely as my TV remote?

    • Is your Sony TV a smart TV? If it is not, should, in theory, be fine but if it is a smart one, best to get a replacement one as most smart buttons/features of your TV will obviously be missing from a Universal remote. This Remote just has extra buttons compatible with a PS4 (home, 4 shape buttons, etc).

      • No, its the original 40" Bravia black series made in japan, i have it for over 10 years and still going strong, just the remote died, i guess must be the infrared sensor fried …

        • Ah okay, from other comments it seems to have IR sensor still but can't find a compatible list but others have said they got it to sync to just a TV but yours is a little bit older. Depending on how good your local JB Hi-fi is you can always return and say it doesn't do the job or suitable for your tv, just don't say how old it is lol.

  • Does anyone have a copy of the email ?

  • I was looking at buying the PS4 remote the other day as our blu ray player is on its last legs

Glad i didnt buy it then and the wife is happy with the 3 months stan

    So win win

  • +2

Thank you, this remote looks like it will be handy to save juice in my PS4 controller which seems to be constantly requiring a recharge.

  • 35 bones is a (profanity) steal even without MW.

… Wonder if Acti is regretting making MW exclusive (temporarily) to IW yet.

  • Can anybody confirm or deny if this remote can actually power on the PS4? Logitech harmony hub user here, Logitech claims only the DS4 can power on the PS4 hence limited via their remote.

  • Bought IW, pretty confident that this is the cheapest it will be for a while as Call of Duty games take ages to get to a reasonable price.

Check out the current prices on Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 if you don't believe me.

  • Bought the remote today…. Half an hour in I can't get it to work with Sony tv or amp… Hmmmmm, not a great start

    • Ok, got it working now and seems to be working ok, just takes a while and patience

  • -1

The code didn't work for the PS Plus membership.

  • Great deal on COD:IW - this is the cheapest it's been yet. I don't do a lot of multiplayer (don't even have an active Xbox Gold membership), so largely grabbed for the campaign. Polarised reviews on this title, but may give the campaign - albeit a tad short - an elephant stamp.

  • My wife doesnt know how to use the PS4 controller properly when playing DVD/Bluray so this will make it easier. Thanks

  • Thanks OP for sharing. Fantastic find. Picked up a dvd remote from marion SA store just with code. Also saw stock at Melrose park SA store. Bargain. Happy at $19.50 :)

  • Thanks OP.

Got mine working well enough. Will be a learning curve as I could use my last one blindfolded.

    Extremely handy for netflix.
