Receive a $10 'Flexi' eGift Card @ IRI Shopper Panel (after Free Sign-up)

190

Ok so this is a bit like a survey company, but not…

Steps:
1) Go through sign-up process. As long as you're not part of any other survey companies (or don't say you are), you're fine
2) Download the app (Android/iOS)
3) Scan a purchase, and send off the details. Just need to scan the barcode of a product around you, fill in some basic purchase details and send it off.

You'll also get another $10 Flexi egift card if you continue scanning for 4 weeks. Can just scan 1 item once a week if you want to

  • How long until the gift card is meant to come?

Got an email 15 hours ago after my first scan:

These points will be available in your account within the next week and the $10 Flexi eGift card will be emailed to you shortly.

      Still hasn't come through

        • Mine came in today :)

Updated title, it's a 'Flexi' eGift card, which is valid at JB's and Myer, among a couple of others

The flexicard is targeted . I was invited to this a few months ago but app was buggy so gave up

    • Did a fresh sign-up today straight from their page (no click-throughs or anything), at the end of the sign-up it said I was getting the $10 card on first scan, 2nd card after 4 weeks. Which is what I posted here :)

And agreed, app looks like it was a high school project lol

      (didn't neg you E)

Yup, I received the same message upon signing up (though no confirmation of anything after my first scan, but I assume it's all okay).

        Thanks, OP!

  • How often am I meant to Scan?
We want you to scan every purchase that you or your household makes.

Geez, they'd want to be offering good rewards - it'll be a fulltime job scanning all my OzBargain purchases.

Edit: So the app is terrible. It takes a good few minutes just to add a single product to your list. There's no way people are actually recording their entire weekly shop on this app…big fail by the company. In fact my phone is frozen on 'checking for updates' after the first submission.

Barely worth sticking around for the $20 in free gift cards.

  • How exactly do I send them the data?

    Pressing the arrow does nothing.

Pressing help tells me I need to "Enter the total cost of your shopping (including tax)" and has an arrow pointing to nothing on the screen. I've tried tapping where the arrow points even though there is nothing there and as expected nothing happens.

App is buggy as hell and can barely figure it out at all. Tempted to just stick with MyOpinions for my flexis, cheers anyway OP.

  • If you are the type of person who values your time continuing after the initial bonuses is not worth it.
I've been a member for around 8 months (scanning shopping 1-2 times each week) and apart from initial $30 join bonuses for first month I have about $45 dollar in points.

You have to scan the bar code and then input price, number of items and at the end put total paid, type of shop and who paid.

The app is buggy and can / does crash and you have to start all over again. so I only scan small weekly shopping receipts.
app can take a while to start as it wants to update each time.
app doesn't like markdown bar codes so if you buy a lot of markdowns life sucks as you can try a peel off the markdown label or find the manual input section for that item.

To encourage you to scan everything they have prizes for scanning the monthly mystery product and a random scanner winner and monthly quote competition plus a few other comps.

… so if you do small / tiny shopping and have patience possible okay but if you do large shops not worth it.

I think most will probably just do a 'hit-and-quit' on it. As you say, there's a lot of bugs/imperfections

  • I joined like 6 weeks ago for the gifts cards and I think it was in the week after sign up and after the 4 weeks that I got them. I also only do small shops anyway but only scan one or two a week as it is a big hassle and the point system is not very generous but for a quick $20 its easy. The app is pretty bad though.

    • Did you actually get an email about the $10 gift card directly, or did you have to cash in points via their web site to get the gift card?
