this is permanently free, same software is available on windows 10 (for free)

  I think you may be confusing this 3rd party software with the official software, which btw does not have a MacOS version.

Just tried to download and run on my 10.12.1 but the app is not starting. Anyone else got the same issue?

    No, I can't find it on the menu bar. Couldn't find the process under Activity Monitor either.

ok, got it working. but not the easiest software to use- bit too fiddly to control. doesn't have the features of the iOS app
