  • Someone has been busy! Thanks man

  • +2

Seeing as these are coming from the warehouse directly, there shouldn't be any stock-level issues.

    Hopefully.

    Either way, bye bye $350!

Tomorrow (Tuesday) there is an in-store promotion going on. Remember to go and see if there's any bargains!

    • -1

Tomorrow (Tuesday) there is an in-store promotion going on. Remember to go and see if there's any bargains!

Wait, what promotion? Do you have further details?

      • Another sale. They're doing a sale online-exclusive today (Monday) and then one tomorrow (Tuesday) in-store. No idea what it is though!

        • Insider secret? Regardless, I'll probably visit one anyways. Cheers

        • Considering they want to charge me $9.06 shipping for one 3DS game I think I'll wait and see what's in-store tomorrow.

    • Didn't they do something similar last year where you couldn't go into an EB and get the online price for Mad Monday and then the next day they had an almost identical sale but in store only.

      • Yeah I believe that's what it is, not 100% sure though. I'll go suss it out anyway :) might be some games that aren't available online that have been discounted

    • What makes you think they're coming directly from the warehouse? The stock from stores thing is ongoing so it wouldn't surprise me if it's a repeat of the black Friday debacle.

      • -1

Because I'm an EB Games corporate shill, remember?

        • +1

Confirmation that EB continue to send new/used/whatever games from stores out to fill online orders. http://imgur.com/2JmoH00

        • -1

Looks like I was wrong! I think it's a bit silly of them to ship items from store with a sale like this given the current debacle with inventory levels. They must have done something over the weekend to make sure stock levels were accurate if they wanted to do it that way.

I've added a lot of items to my cart and many commonly found games are $3.50 shipping (presumable from the warehouse), whereas the harder to find copies/less common appear to incur a $5-8 (Brisbane postcode) shipping charge.

They took the website down for a few days so I imagine that was to make sure there were no inventory issues today, fingers crossed everyone gets their orders!

        • @Kugz: They won't, EB are hopeless and nothing will ever change.

        • -1

          @High Score King:

I just hit level 4 over the weekend after receiving probably 90% of the things I purchased from the EB Games sale. None of the items I have ever bought (hundreds of them) have had receipts, finger prints, smashed cases or used DLC. The staff at my local store are welcoming, always go the extra mile for me and personally call me whenever my pre-orders come in (which I regularly forget about).

I have no idea what you mean by them being hopeless as I've yet to have a bad experience with any of the EB Games stores that I've visited or shopped at so far and I really wish you would stop using the OzBargain community and platform to spew your hatred and hostility towards the company.

        • -1

@Kugz: It's all about perception. You receive a game from EB that's sealed and you think you're getting a new game so you trust the EB brand to deliver you new games each time you order. At no stage do you stop to question "are these games new?" because they look new. Meanwhile EB are using resealing equipment to seal up returned games to be sold as new to people who don't question the validity of EB's motives. People who regularly shop at EB are used to hearing all about the hottest game to pre order! Join EB World! Trade n save! Come to the next midnight launch! Have you considered the pre owned copy? They become so used to it that it seems normal to be hassled all the time to spend more money there. It's all very manipulative and invasive. To the more discerning shopper going there is a nightmare and visiting the competition instead where there are no invasive questioning techniques applied is a breath of fresh air. Just walk in, buy what you want, walk out. Simple. Easy. I know these comments are monitored and if they are not censored then no guidelines are being broken so I'll continue to post whatever I like regarding the evil organisation that is EB. Thanks for your input though Kugz. Maybe you'll learn something about them, maybe not if you're like 99% of the other brain washed EB fans.

@High Score King: please take off your tin foil hat, there's a reason your Facebook group is so small and you have 2 accounts in it, people get over your drama and you look like a big headache

        • @Tal_Shiar: 1013 members bahahahahahahaha. http://imgur.com/Jq2EKNT

        • +1

@High Score King: and I bet you're still the only active poster taking screenshots of complaints on EB's page adding your own caption. And really 1000 or so members isn't that many anyway

        • +1

          @Tal_Shiar:

There's maybe 25 or so people circlejerking and making fun of people behind closed doors. Wouldn't bother checking it out unless you think spelling errors are hilarious ;)

        • +1

@Tal_Shiar: Nice troll attempt there but I'm afraid it's a fail. For an Australian only group less than two years old focusing on one retailer that's a healthy number of members but you keep denying it all while we continue to grow.

  • Thanks, picked up a few games I was waiting on.

    • Thanks added :)

  • +1

Devil's Third for $10 just 2 weeks after I bought it for the sale price of $23… sigh You win some, you lose some I suppose.

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't played its ridiculousness yet, especially at that price.

    • +1

You buy from EB ? You got till jan 15 to return it

      • Isn't their return policy a 7-day one?

        • Christmas return policy at EB is extended

        • At any time of the year other than Christmas :)

        • @freoleo:
Hmm, I can't find any information surrounding it on their website. I bought the game on the 25th of November - would that still fall under their Christmas policy?

EDIT: Appears to be sold out now anyway. Should have just bought a second copy!

        • @freoleo: I'm interested too, do you have a link to the Christmas returns policy?

        • @tassieeagle: nah but they do it every year so I am guessing that is what Xcess was referencing, maybe check their twitter or Facebook feed and it may say something otherwise there are probably banners in store

        • @tassieeagle:

its advertise sometimes in store but you can see it in their catalogue now and it usually starts around mid Novemberish till Jan 15 for the past few years

  • +1

    Nice work trent!

  • +2

    Any free shipping codes?

    • Never ;(

  • +1

Thanks OP got Watch_Dogs 2 San Francisco Edition, Just Cause 3 Collector's Edition for $43 (which is a good price in my opinion) , Elder Scrolls Online Gold Edition and few t-shirts.

  • +4

Gonna try price matching at JB. Wish me luck 🤞

    • +1

Make sure you get back to us, if it worked.

      • +1

        Great success!!! Watergardens NBA2k17 PS4 for $54

        • I just picked up NBA 2K17 from JB for $54 as well. Thanks Trent and Infrared

  • Is that the cheapest price for rise of the tomb raider?

    • $54 at Big W at the moment so about the same when you factor in shipping.

  • $7 pops. Woohoo

  • Not sure why but some items are $3.50 shipping but others are $8.80 shipping.

    • If shipping is $3.50 then its shipped from warehouse in QLD, so your chances of getting it is very good.

If shipping is more than that, your item is being shipped from an actual store somewhere in Aus, so you may not get it if they can't find it.

  • -8

    I don't see any bargain.

    • Then why are you on this site?

  • Anyone got experience with Steam Link? Worth grabbing for the $42 odd including postage?

    • +1

Yes .. It's convenient and has a small, minimal heat profile for your tv cabinet.

      • +1

        👍

    • I bought 1 for me 1 for bro. Shipping was 50cent more for 2 if u know someone who will split.

    • Works great on ethernet, not sure on wireless.
Obviously depends on your host PC, but even with my GTX750ti I'm pretty happy with it. Well worth the money to game on the tv.

      • Sweet. I've been moving the PC to the living room on/off but it's getting a little tedious. This might do the trick.

        I shouldn't expect flawless 60fps performance though, should I?

        • The steamlink hardware is capable.
Will depend more on your own hardware and network (I'd suggest unlikely on wifi).

  • I found this for $7 - Destiny (PS4)
    https://ebgames.com.au/ps4-161504-Destiny-preowned-PlayStati…
Not bad for the price, anyone know if this has an offline campaign?

    Also $22 - Tom Clancy's The Division - Preowned (PS4)
    https://ebgames.com.au/ps4-165235-Tom-Clancys-The-Division-p…
    Good price too.

    • +1

Pretty sure it is online only Destiny and that base game is now obsolete

  • Awesome work with all the examples of all the deals Trent - keep it up man :)

  • Edit: scratch that

  • -1

Devils third is such a shithouse game. I wouldn't even use the discs as drink coasters

  • New and sealed it am I going to get 'used' games?

    • Quite possibly, with no cover, no inserts, scratched disc. EB sez it's still new!!!

  • That is a crazy price for Bravely Second…

    • $9.06 postage for one now though, it was only $3.50 last night…

      • +1

Out of stock at the warehouse if the postage has increased.

If shipping is $3.50 then its shipped from warehouse in QLD, so your chances of getting it is very good.

If shipping is more than that, your item is being shipped from an actual store somewhere in Aus, so you may not get it if they can't find it.

        • Got Bravely Second and Star Fox Zeo for $3.50 shipping. Nice. surprised me at the time (early this morning).

      • I got Steam Link and Bravely for $7.80 delivered.

        Probably depends on location.

  • +1

Should I return watchdogs2 from target (unopened) for the deluxe edition?

    • +1

No because that means you're giving EB a sale. Don't do it.

  • +2

Is there any more info on the hourly deals? Can't find anything on the fantastic EB website

    • I clicked the link through their facebook and it wouldn't load.

      The technical issues have arrived!

  • +3

So there's no pick up in store option for this sale, and doesn't really mention if there's free shipping over a certain value.

Also weird thing is that shipping seems to be different for items:
    - 2DS console ($7.70)
    - Bravely Second 3DS ($9.06) - quite ironic that a game costs more to ship than a console

When you buy them together shipping is the sum of those two items, so $16.76.

I think factoring in shipping costs, lots of deals can't really be considered as "deals" here.

    • They likely ship from differant places, cost more from wa than from Sydney.

      • Ah good point!

        • +1

EB are now shipping from stores as well as the warehouse. Be very wary about orders that cost $9.06 as they are from a store and there have been "new" games sent in appalling condition recently, missing covers, inserts, scratched discs. So obviously used but EB don't seem to care anymore.

    • The 2ds console is showing out of stock I was looking at getting one to replace my daughters broken 3ds.

  • Snagged Fallout 4, Star Fox Zero (for the co-op) and 2x copies of Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition for PC.

  • Thanks for all the links Trent

  • 2DS sold out. I managed to get one on impulse. I feel like playing some Mario Kart.

    • Yeah … I had 2 in my cart and went to checkout and was notified it was all sold out!

What's the chance of in store being on sale tomorrow?

      • Online/today only

      • Someone mentioned there might be an in-store sale tomorrow.

        • +1

so the Nintendo 2DS has come back online.. for pickup in store.. but it's $179 now with an additional Pokemon game?!

  • Easy to return if it is not new?

  • Steam Link already sold out. What the heck?!

    • +1

Deal started at 12:01am so kinda late to the part as you would say.

  • Say 10 items max when shopping for some reason. However it let me order 11 games in one order so not sure what that means.

  • Grab myself Assassin's Creed Syndicate for $19 and Doom AOC edition for $26, not a bad bargain IMO

    • Wait till you get an out of stock notice.

      • I ordered it around 7 am this morning, maybe i can get it somehow?

  • Nintendo 2DS Sold Out.

Was waiting for the Pokemon games to go up on sale to buy it all in one lot…missed out now :(

  • +3

Nintendo 2DS + Mario Kart $99 gone :( so sad

  • Bought Doom PC edition because I find it harder using console controllers for fps games. Loved the original Doom II on PC.

  • Do people think a 2ds is worthwhile, if I'm planning to get a switch. (I realize they are sold out - just a general question).

    • Worth it if there are games you wish to play on the platform.

    • For 100 bucks, yes. Its highly doubtful to get 3ds games on the switch.

  • Damn I wanted Twilight Princess and Bravely Second but was waiting to see what the hourly sales were to save postage in case there was something else I wanted both sold out now :(

And Second hand prices cost more and postage is more.

Considering how lousy the hourly sales are this puts a real salty taste in my mouth.

    • They don't combine postage with normal orders and hourly specials, a bit unrealistic there…
