Hi guys, as per the title, I like the look and price of the Mi Max, but a better camera and removable battery would be nice.
Just wondering what decent options are out there with a 5.5inch screen or bigger.

removeable batteries is out of fashion
if you want a camera then you need to hit the flagship models of at least the main chinese brands like the huawei p9
costs a bit though
LG appears to be the only top OEM who is sticking with removable batteries. Why these cats can't figure out what consumers want is beyond me. Smartphones get announced each year with faster chips and better and hi-res screens. Why is it so hard for them to see that what we really want is better battery life? I got a Mi Max when I found out it's got a 4850mAh battery. Imagine what one could do with that. My S7 Edge is sitting in a drawer as we speak. The only thing I miss about it is the camera and that happens to be something I don't use quite often. And oh, the Nougat update. It is simply amazing. The phone feels like a Casio calculator now, having used the Mi Max for 3 weeks.
I long for the day when Samsung, or any other top dog for that matter, will release a plus-sized device with great internals and a 4500mAh+ battery.Mate, I'm so with you. I beleive phones should have a rear back and the battery sd and sim underneath.
However the fashion has moved towards what you see now.
Then again my bent is towards $250 or less phones so I'm not too critical about it.
I ended up getting a Moto G4 plus. The battery lasts pretty well, so hopefully will be ok without the removable battery.

I don't know any off the top of my head. Have you searched using kimovil.com? It's good for searching various smartphones, including Xiaomi.
