Not exactly a bargain when the larger version is $25 every day at Kmart.

    The Kmart version is 110cm x 198cm x 181cm
while your Really Big version is 138 x 120 x 115 cm, and is $100.

You're going to need to do better than that.

You're going to need to do better than that.

Well you'd think so wouldn't you, but if history teaches us anything, they probably won't.

For a rep that has never garnered a net positive, they are certainly not easily detered.

Why would they be deterred? Its free advertising and if he gets one extra sale it's done it's job.
Adverts like this really need to just get deleted.

Yes and no. Having recently been in the market for an inflatable like this for a music festival, the Sunnylife range are a step above the rest quality wise. They're expensive for what they are, but a neg is too harsh imo

      • It's an inflatable flamingo, not a Lenovo laptop. Who cares about the build quality? This is OzBargain!

Thanks Hinee for the support! Agree that this is a branded item which is very high quality.
For all the rest, give retailers a break!!!! You don't want to buy the item, that's fine but I am totally over all this unfair and unrealistic comparisons!!! Go to Kmart and buy the flamingo which looks totally crap there. If you actually had a look you would see that they look quite different. Last week someone compared my flamingo sold in Australia to an offer from a Chinese manufacturer which was not even available. Are some people actually for real? This is a 50% offer on the RRP of this item, seriously why is this a -1 vote????? Compare apples with apples, you would find a cheaper and crapier version of most offers on this site but that is hardly the point….

    • I must say I'm not overly knowledgeable on the flamingo pool toy market, however, a quick google reveals that the next cheapest of the same brand is $36 shipped.

That said, how many kids will be excitedly whispering "inflatable flamingo" into Santa's ear at their local Westfield this year?

Sunnylife must be in every shopping centre in Australia :-) Does not make it easy for us Online Retailers but good on them for getting their awesome Designer Beach wear out there. Are we in agreement now that mine at $27.38 which is 25% cheaper as the best price you could find is indeed a bargain ;-)

Thanks for the angry, bitter reply. If you are totally over all of these "unfair and unrealistic" comparisons then please refrain from posting.
As you post history shows no one here cares about your products, and no one will miss your posts.

The problem is that you are selling inflatable pool toys. These are not complex electronics, or delicate hand-made clothing items. The build quality of an inflatable flamingo is not a priority for anyone. The priority on OzBargain is the price, and the product you are selling is far more expensive than what other retailers can offer.

Your argument that your product is "very high quality" and others' are "crap" is weak. Both your product and the Kmart product are made in China with PVC and both include a puncture repair kit.
If your product was made in Australia your argument would have some weight. But it's not.

Looking forward to your next post!

      • Hi BTRaynes,

        Thanks for your comments!

What is your take on idea and brand? As far as I am aware Sunnylife was the originator of the inflatable flamingo and everyone else is just copying their idea. This is a branded product, there are a lot of branded products sold on Ozbargain and for the majority of items you could find a cheaper item especially when you order it from the China factory directly as someone suggested last week and take the risk on getting the item at all, long delivery and high shipping costs.

You seem to be on this site a lot, is that really the point to get the absolute cheapest item in every category no matter where it came from or what quality it is?

Yes, both are made in China but that does not mean they are the same. As someone else previously posted, they can vouch for the high quality. Of course if you are after a one-off pool toy which ends up in land fill the next week then go for it but some people will still value things which last and are well designed and not just buy the cheapest of everything.

        • Sunnylife was the originator of the inflatable flamingo and everyone else is just copying their idea.

This website seems to state otherwise. So it appears you are actually selling an expensive knock-off.

… especially when you order it from the China factory directly with long delivery and high shipping costs.

Except you can walk into any Kmart and grab a similar product for far less, so this is irrelevant here.

… is that really the point to get the absolute cheapest item in every category no matter where it came from or what quality it is?

For the most part, yes. Believe it or not, cheapest prices are the priority of this website. There are certain exceptions for things like complex electronics where build quality and durability are priorities. I don't believe build quality is a priority for your type of product.
I don't accept your claims that your competitors' products will "end up in landfill the next week". Both are made in China from the same materials.

        • @BTRaynes:

Yes, they are the originators of the "Giant" Flamingo. They basically took the idea and changed it slightly and called the flamingo instead of big "giant" and now sell it under "The Original". The Giant Entertainment company who owns the Giant Flamingo was founded in 2014. Sunnylife was founded in 2004. If you are stating facts then please try to be thorough.

And yes, exactly my point: you can grab a SIMILAR item at Kmart, not the same and I know you don't agree with me, but there are people out there who value idea innovation and brand…..You are not one of them and rather buy the cheapest and that is fine, however stop judging people who do.
Sunnylife has further improved the design of the flamingo and this particular item on sale is a very different design to the big flamingo you mentioned which you sit on. In case you have not noticed this item is designed to assist beginner swimmers in the water. You would struggle to do that with the giant flamingo….

For offers people should be comparing like for like, if you can show me another Australian Retailer who sells this particular designed Kiddy Flamingo from Sunnylife for less then $17.48 then that's fair enough and the other offer is in fact better!

Speak for yourself mate, I literally came to this deal due to it being for a Sunnylife product. Your very same argument could be used for an infinite number of different products available for purchase. Whether or not you agree with the original RRP is irrelevant.

        • Hinee, thanks so much for your support :-)
