For a second I thought it said Good Guys Gift Card.
second that
Discount aside, what's the benefit of getting these cards? Do you get some kind of offer in the restaurant or is it purely a gift idea?
Perfect combination with entertainment book:)
Please give an example how to use it together with EB.
Sounds like a very good deal.
Cheers :)
I can give you an example based on my own experience. We went to Spice Roads in Melbourne last year and we used the EB card to get $40 off (and people who have multiple EBs can get more discounts), and then pay the final bill with The Good Gift Card obtained @ 20% discount.. So the total discount was around 40-50% off the final bill.
Bear in mind though, some restaurants do not accept both EB and The Good Food Gift cards simultaneously, citing the combined fee is way too much (apparently GFGC charges the owners ~20% of the final value). For this reason, I tend to to eat out more when there is an active AMEX offer such as Shop Small, which can be combined with EB no questions asked.
@feihong: From your experience, what is the probability of being refused using both offers - EB and Good Food gift card? I don't eat out much, have one or two restaurants in mind to go for a special occasion, but it will be a waste of the gift card if it is not accepted. I guess I could ring them and ask, but wouldn't that just make them say no right off the bat? Thanks.
Cindia, Same question - this if you don't mind sharing your experience. Thanks in advance.

"Your Gift Card… "cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers including Entertainment Book Vouchers)."
@GrandpaJack: Oh I see, so Entertainment Book was specifically mentioned. Thanks for that.
I live in launceston, I used both offers at Hallam's Waterfront Seafood Restaurant and Cataract on Paterson without any problems recently. I didn't read the t&c of gf gcard:( Maybe depends on the staff who serves you.
Damn, bought from eBay already
