Fiji Hotel and Wedding

Hi All,

Going to Fiji in November and getting married there and wanted to know if anyone had been and where i can get a good package for hotels and the wedding, and where are some nice places to stay, have a few places and packages in mind, but want to see what others think.

Ill be staying for 14 days, so need accomadation for that time. Got a rough budget of about 6000 for the hotel and the wedding, but this is flexible as im going by what ive seen online.

Thanks in advance.

  • Went to a wedding at the Sofitel - the wedding itself was nice: small chapel, champagne afterwards. But dinner/accommodation wasn't anything to write home about. And it was pretty expensive.

The Rydges Hideaway Resort was a fantastic place to stay, if you'd like a quiet hut of your own, rather than a hotel. Not sure if they do weddings.

If you'd like a bit of an adventure (rather than luxury) go to Robinson Crusoe Island (probably not quite honeymoon material).

  • will you be wanting to go to a few islands or stay in one place?

the wedding venue - i assume you want in one of the hotels? on the mainland? Westin, Radisson and Sofitel, all in Denarau are nice mainland resorts). The new intercontinental in Natadola is supposed to be excellent (about 1 hr from denarau)

if you want to break it up a bit, blue lagoon has 3,5,7 day cruises around the islands, but that will probably eat into your budget a bit.

  • I would like to stay and have the wedding at the same place, somewhere in the mamanuca islands

  • i am going to one in the Warwick on October - so a bit late to give you a review but i have good things about it.

  • Thinking of going to Navini Island Resort, anyone been?

    • Are you referring to Naviti?

It is good, but only for families with kids. It is very popular with Aussies. Not sure if it the wedding honeymoon stuff. Although they have two bungalows right on the shore, beautiful view of the ocean. Staff is very nice. We had a great time (have kids obviously).

We booked through a small online agent based in Sydney. No one else could offer the prices we got from them. With family of 2+2 we spent less than $2000 per family including Virgin flights. Naviti has all meals included packages.

      • No its called Navini, its on the mamanuca islands, and its small island that has max 20 ppl staying on it.

  • spal, wow thats sounds great $2000 including flights, meals etc???
