okey so this isnt the best deal in thw world but if you already have points say 10ks worth or 2.500 or 5.00 you can use them for half the required amount up to $10 so 10ks in points = 5K in points :)

Good deal but too much gimmicks about their points system. Base.com has a lot of straight bargains such as Dying Light. I got it for $23 shipped from Base.

Not a chance after xb1 controller crap, OzGameshop won't be getting my hard earned.

Buying anything from these guys is a gamble, you might get your item or you'll get a refund if they decide they can charge more for it.

  • I have 25k in points so i may gain from this but i hate then crap on spend amounts required to use them.
I could grab a few $10 ones for 10k points or should i say 5k points with this promo.
But need to spend $60 or more to use them.
Some games are below $60 so you need to spend more but some are over $60 but are overpriced normally.
Good if buying two games at once then $20 code be good and grab a $10 for later.
Or does one get a mix of $5 and $10 codes with this promo.
Not sure how best use what i have.

I have always been happy with OzGameShop, but then I have only bought console games that have been out for a while (non-latest release) or boardgames. I was a bit worried with my last purchase as it took a few days before its status went to dispatched but Christmas is obviously a busy period - fingers cross it arrives by then.

  • Unlike some others here I've always had good experiences with OzGameshop with probably a dozen plus orders. Can't think of any time I've had a problem and the once or twice I contacted them to cancel an order they responded promptly. Not where I'd go for day one delivery of a new release but I've never found the shipping times to be too bad compared to other international outlets.

  • Has anyone noticed any decent bargains to use these for on either PS4 games or family board games (suitable for kids 5 & 8)?

I'm basically digital only for PS4 so a bit sad they don't have PSN cards in AUD as i'd just use it on those lol.

      Not at OzBargain but:
Ticket to ride first journey was $45 at Zing (Elizabeth SA) down from $60 (I think) My kids are 9 and 11 and we have Ticket to Ride which is more suited to their age, otherwise I would have bought it.
They liked Settlers of Catan Junior (but that is currently out of stock at OzGameshop).
Machi Koro is their current favourite (again out of stock at OzGameshop) but recommend getting the Harbour expansion (fixes a small issue with the main game) and has been on sale at Book Depository (where we got our copy) or perhaps get the Deluxe version with has the main game and first two expansions.
They also liked Dungeon! a lot (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1339/dungeon), but I couldn't see that in stock at OzGameshop … gee maybe they are crap afterall? (Joking)
Forbidden Island and Dixit are supposed to be good (haven't played Dixit, and only played FI on iPad. FI again isn't available at OGS and not sure if Dixit is a "bargain".
Think I have highjacked this thread enough but hope I helped in some way …

      • Beautiful, thanks very much and apologies for delay in responding. They've been sick and keeping me too busy!

You can use http://www.comparegames.com.au for PS4 prices and http://www.boardgamesearch.com.au for board game prices. Both list OzGameShop against other etailers.

Quick check of board games that my kids play yielded a few cheaper titles on OzGameShop
      Castle Panic $48.99
      Takenoko $58.99
      Carcassonne $46.99
      Camel Up $45.99

Free shipping kicks in at $50 so most of these are just under, and $10 off comes in to play at $60. So perhaps 2 games may yield best saving.
