Afternoon,
anyone know of a place that does replacement glass for the Xiaomi MiMax? Dropped the bugger and glass is gone. Digitizer seems ok.

Was thinking just buying a new one, but thought if I can get one for under $100, a 2 month old phone should be worth it. Never damaged a phone ever before :(

Never done it before, but consider myself pretty handy. I guess the worst that happens is I waste $30….
this one doesn't come with the frame. but you'd remove the one from the old screen (probably need a heat gun/hairdryer to soften the glue)
Or $100 for one with the frame which is just a disconnect of cable?

@2jzzzz: that's just the touchscreen. You'd have to carefully remove the LCD and then glue it to the new touch screen. They bond the LCD to the touch using LOCA glue. Its fiddly to remove the glue - you need the correct solvent- and you are then playing with the LCD which is easy to break. Plus you need to buy more LOCA glue to attach the new touchscreen to the old LCD.
Fiddly. Very fiddly with out the proper equipment
So this one you linked, if I souften the glue, would I need special new glue to re-stick?
@2jzzzz: no, because the frame is on the back then you'd just use superglue or similar. just make sure it is lined up correctly.
how handy are you?
buy a replacement lcd + touchscreen from aliexpress for US$30 delivered, and do it yourself.
