So my Playstation 3 has broken which I used to stream netflix on. I only really used it to watch Netflix and to play novies/music from my hard drive off of it. I was just looking at buying a new ps4 but I'm not really keen on spending $400+ for something I'll only really use to watch Netflix. Is there anything else out there like a set top box that you guys could recommend ? Or just something that will let me watch my movies as I'm struggling without it hahaha

chromecast 2 if you have a android smartphone and a wifi.
apple tv if you dont have a mobile phone.

chromecast is a device which you plug into your tv's HDMI port and USB port for power.
once setup your mobile phone is basically the remote control.
its not limited to netflix either works with lots of different app on android and IOS.

I use a Sony Blue-Ray player, which has a very responsive interface, and it's nice to use an actual remote to control playback. A few years ago I used a WDTV Live for this, which also worked well for its time but there were issues with the Netflix app after one of the firmware updates.

Every time I upgrade my PC the old one get's demoted to mediaPC. I have a wireless mouse that I use on the couch; even though it's 9 years old it only needs to be charged every few months for mediaPC use.
I use my Xbox as my media player now. Streaming vids from my computer, Netflix, Hulu etc. Also like shouting at the TV to change channels :)
