Wondering Who Delivered Your Item to Me My Car Is All Damaged ???

Hi Guys,

This buyer purchased and item delivered at his place. I use australia post eParcel.

Yesterday, this buyer sent message:

buyer: " Hi I am wondering who delivered your item to me my car is all damaged "

and another message today:
buyer: " I am just wondering what are you you going to do about my car getting damaged from your delivery "

and today I replied:
Sorry to hear that.
it is not our fault , we dont control the person delivery to you.
what you can do is , take a picture, and report this incident to police , and your LOCAL POST OFFICE, Only local post office knew the person who responsible delivered your parcel.

and buyer replied just now:
I will be reporting it to eBay and your company is also at fault for using this company to deliver the item then leaving it here without a signature. You told me this item had to be signed for but it was not. This is why the damaged accord you have to Tahoe responsibility for your transport company.

What should I do ?

ignore them, sounds like a scam.

because how do they even know that it was caused by a delivery driver?????

True. Story doesnt make sense. Buyer wasnt home, parcel was at the front door, and car damaged ?

  • Give them full information for the carrier, but you are not responsible for the damage. Politely give receipts/details.

If there is a tracking number, the delivery vehicle will be obvious.

    Scammy McScamness

  • That buyer sounds like an idiot!

Don't even bother giving him the carrier information - if he can't even read AUSTRALIA POST on the box, he's got bigger issues.

  • Darryl Kerrigan said it best:

I would ignore 100% of any further communications from him. He'll neg you, which you might just have to wear :(

    • I dont care about NEG. I can call up ebay and remove the NEG due to nonsense claim.

      • Well in that case I recommend the above and going no further contact :)

Send him a note in return advising your driver slipped on some wet tiles whilst delivering at your address and requires some serious $ for medical bills and surgery :)

Working towards getting you to just offer refund to be done with it I think.

They probably do it to all sellers. Have you looked through all their feedback? Probably lots of this, unless they cycle through accounts.Report them to eBay.

Msg him, that you have reported the incident with the local police station, and the police need him to come in to make a formal statement. Google the local police station and provide details in email.

I'm sure the police will sort this nut out one way or another.

You have an awful lot of confidence in our police force :/

  • Ignore them, it's either a scam or they're a nutjob.

  • Tell them to speak to somebody who cares. This is not your problem.

Or, play with him. Request 3 quotes from panel beatets ( but never admit liability- not that have any responsibility for damages done by a 3rd party). Ask for photos of the damage.get the buyer to do a lot of work and then ignore.
