I heard some people mention 'the Geronimo Jerky saga' in a thread about Ripsaw Jerky and I was wondering what the story is there. I used to really like their products but never seem them on the site anymore. Anyone care to enlighten me?

They could learn from Biltong to Go. Auspost temporarily lost my order and BTG had a case open and forwarded to me within half an hour of contacting them.
Urg. That whole saga sounded like a monumental stuff-up. It's a shame, I quite liked Geronimo. I see they haven't advertised since then, probably couldn't keep up with demand.
I'm one of the people that ordered. The orders were massively delayed with pithy excuses given as to why, and the product that eventually came through was brittle and flavorless. I'd ordered from them before and it was a huge drop in quality. If you believe what some people in the thread said, they were also short delivered.
Took about 2 months to get mine after placing the order, with many emails chasing them up.
Service and response from Geronimo was literally non-existent. Jerky was average at best.
Rather than acknowledging the issue and trying to fix it, they just went silent.
There was another set of problems a few years ago and I felt that the response on Ozbargain from the Big Chief was pathetic. I bagged their next few deals and I think I may have been told that I couldn't neg due to past problems.
It appears to me that this company. when they get into trouble, ignore their customers and get all self righteous. Stay away from a company when the principal gets all shitty in the face of the companies stuff ups.
Damn shame too as I've still not found anything anywhere near as good as their usual stuff. It was an utter debacle though and they really damaged their name quite badly.
The online site is no longer selling jerky.
