  • What is postage on this stuff?
    Can find on site/faq etc

Shipping depends on what you order, your location, and the shipping method you choose. Shipping prices for each method is calculated and shown during checkout.

The problem with that is a lot of people, myself included, do not want to create an account, giving all our personal information, just to find out the shipping charges.

Other websites offer the ability to enter a postcode and get a shipping estimate without creating an account.

I suggest you implement such a feature.

Thank you for the feedback. Previously we have had no complaints about how the store has been set up, however I do see your point.

I have added a section to the "Basket" section, where you can obtain a shipping estimate based on postcode. I will tweak it to better suit the site when I can find a spare hour or two (the addon is written by a contributor to the cart system we use).

          I hope this helps.

          • @CNSD: You don't say how many glasses the "Soda Glass Pack" contains.

@Chris McMahon: Sorry for the omission (getting off to a great start aren't we). Info has been updated. Pack contains 6 x Glasses

              • @CNSD: What's the shelf life for opened / unopened syrups?

So if I get this right, 1x 750ml syrup makes 5.25ltrs of cordial. Assume you buy say 10x 750ml syrups at a time to minimise freight charges, it's going to cost around ~$87 delivered (based on Gold Coast delivery) or $8.70/bottle (inc 10% discount).

Which works out to roughly $1.66 a litre, or $3.31 for 2ltrs, mixed cordial.

Seems a little expensive compared to standard supermarket soft drink prices.

                • @Chris McMahon: Once you've tried Crows Nest Sodas, you'll understand why they cost a little more. It's a premium product. I'll gladly pay more as I love CNSD. I just wish I could buy them more easily in Brisbane!

                • @Chris McMahon: Our products have a Best Before date of 18 months from date of manufacture. Generally a product will have more than 12 months "left" depending on the last production date and a customers order date.

As to the shelf life once opened, it depends entirely on how it is used and stored. If it's going to be left on the kitchen counter with its cap off until someone remembers to put it away, it's probably not going to last all that long. On the other hand, if its kept tightly capped in a cool place, there is no reason why you will not get the full shelf life out of the product. Also note that the dates are a Best Before, not Use By.

Your maths is correct. However remember that our products are not just mass produced with the cheapest ingredients we can find. Our products are around the same or cheaper than other premium syrup brands. We also do not have a minimum quantity requirement that some others have, nor do we vary the prices (up usually) just because one set of flavours are suited for use as coffee syrups, or another is suited for a slushy drink.

If you are after the best bang for your buck, the 5L range works out a fair bit cheaper, and you can always pour them out into smaller bottles and keep the rest in a cool place out of the way.

                  Hope this helps.

Never tasted Crow's Nest? YOUR MISSING OUT!

Not the world's best tasting softdrinks, but, I've drunk quite a few and I'd estimate easily time and time again they rank right up there though. No awful aftertaste, goes down very nicely on a cold day and you can't go wrong buying quite a few, all the flavours are enjoyable! (I just enjoy them, especially with no preservative's).

No, I don't work for them, but just love softdrinks

    • I'm a big soft drink fan too, and I agree, Crows Nest is the soft drink lovers' soft drink. Awesome stuff!

The Double Sarsparilla will kick your ass, be careful :)
