You're probably here looking for xmas gift ideas which is exactly why I made this deal. All "usual" prices below are pulled from boozle.com.au as the cheapest alternative to this eBay sale.
Light/sweet
Most of the whiskies here are from the Lowlands and are the most approachable whiskies due to their sweeter notes.
Glenkinchie 12yo for $67 is an ideal gift for a lady who likes whisky but doesn't want to get hit in the face, figuratively, when taking a sip, very approachable; usually $85.
Glenmorangie 12yo for $76 is one of my personal favourites; usually $85.
Royal Lochnager 12yo for $70 is a guess from me as I have never had it but it comes well reviewed; usually $88.
Peaty/smokey
This whisky drinker is a bit rough around the edges and has been drinking whisky for a while now.
Jura Superstition for $69 is a great whisky and only has mild smokiness; usually $85. Tip: if you don't really like the person, spend a few less dollars and get them the Jura 10yo.
Laphroaig 10yo for $68 is a classic smokey whisky; usually $80
Caol Ila 12yo for $76 is a cool gift for the guy that usually hits up Johnnie Walker. When he scoffs at your fancy scotch you can say that Caol Ila makes up the majority of the whiskies blended to make the typical JW.
Classic
These are the most commonly owned whiskies I have seen around the traps. They are always appreciated and can be drank after a day in the office without being concerned you are wasting a bottle on a non-occasion.
Cragganmore 12yo for $69 is a can't go wrong gift. Personally my favourite daily drinker and always gets a nod at parties; usually $83.
Bowmore Small Batch for $68 is another staple in most drinker's cabinets; usually $85.
Glenfiddich 15yo for $80 is great value for a well respected whisky; usually $100.
Glenfiddich 18yo for $108 is an absolute legend in the whisky world. Personally I don't love it but do respect the experience when someone offers it to me. Dan has it for $150 so at least the recipient will think you spent a bit on him!
That's all I can be bothered writing about. If you have a bit more to spend and want to impress your recipient, grab an Amrut, Nikka or Suntory as the Indian and Japanese whiskies are still 'cool'. Macallan is what Harvey Specter drinks in Suits. Dalmore is another good one for the ladies.
