Motorbike Gear Shop in Melbourne

Hi everyone,

I recently got my learner's permit for a motorbike and am in the market for some good bike gear like a jacket, helmet, gloves etc.

I don't know anything about motorbike gear or the shops that sell them, so could someone from Melbourne please recommend a good affordable shop for such gear? Maybe someone knows of some good sales? Kind of like the Kmart equivalent shop of motorbike gear.

    Cheapest 'proper' gear around - they price match with Aussie retailers too

    MCA is great..but if you're still learnerand don't have powerful bike and prefer to save some cash, go ALDI. They might have some leftover stock from previous deals. I see Aldi gear left over in many stores.

      Usually only a few odd XXL pieces seem to still be around. Unfortunately the main motorbike gear sale is in August, so OP has missed the boat on that for this year. There's a second Aldi gear sale on around March iirc.

    There is a guy in Victoria Markets who had decent jackets and kevlar jeans. My advice - don't forget the boots - you want ankle protection if you come off.
