$1 Jerky Sample Pack - Ripsaw Jerky via FB Link

711

Saw this on an ad through Facebook.

Fairly salesy landing page, but $1 for a sample pack of Jerky seems worth a try.

Free shipping + you can choose different "heats" for your sample pack.

I haven't got mine yet, but the service and communication through placing the order and them posting it seems great.

Hopefully that link above works for everyone.

Also have croc and roo jerky if you're that way inclined

    Thanks, OP - ordered!

For anyone wondering, shipping is free, and your $1 gets you a 40g sample from your choice of several "heat" strength jerkies.

    • Thanks - updated my post to include free shipping

  • Just ordered. Cheers for the heads up!

Thanks OP, can't wait to start jerking.

  • Just a warning to watch out for the "subscribe to our newsletter" box when checking out with paypal. I accidentally left it ticked when checking out.

Thanks, ordered. A lot of times i ignore the $1 deals etc cos i figure it's too annoying to actually place the order and enter CC details etc but it was super simple on this site with paypal and that's appreciated

This sounds like the beginning of a horror movie. Everyone orders RipSaw Jerky. Nothing arrives. And then one day a few weeks later you hear a ripsaw in the middle of the night and look out the window to see Ripsaw Ray with an evil grin. He shouts out that he has arrived to pick up the meat supply to make his delicious Ripsaw Jerky. I'm thinking John Jarratt for the lead.

Hoping it will be a good alternative to Geronimo since they went unresponsive.

      God I miss their deals.

  • Sounds yum. Keen to try. Thanks OP

Thanks OP! I do love a good jerky.
    No, wait…

  • Ordered, thanks for sharing!

  • ordered, though unless there is a sale i dont see myself getting more, the cost is just a tad high for 'plain' flavour

Thanks OP, ordered! Owner seems like a nice guy.

  • Anyone know how the 'Extreme Heat Beef Jerky' compares to the 'Flamin' Arrow' jerky from Geronimo? The Flamin' arrow jerky is hot, but it's not tongue melting.

    • My contingency plan is that i'll use tiny pieces in cooking if it's too hot to chew on its own

    • +1

This is quite hot. Stomach is currently burning. Also had to hold my breath while chewing to avoid coughing.

  • $1 for 40g = $25 for 1kg or $6.25 for 250g.

    • +1

Yeah but the fine print suggests you are getting $7.00 worth of jerky for $1. So apparently you are tasting some of $175/kg product. lol

It's clever marketing and you are paying for the postage. It looks like it might have been free previously.

    I ordered 2 x mild and 1 x Warm (separate transactions)

  • Ordered. I've been jerky-deprived since the last Geronimo saga..

Hello, This is Ray from Ripsaw Jerky,

Thank you to all of you that have ordered and are willing to give Ripsaw a go, your jerky will be posted over the next few days.

I'm a little overwhelmed at response at the moment :) I have hundreds of orders, but that's exactly what i wanted, to get my jerky out there…

I'm going to take down Ripsaw Jerky - $1 deal page, as I'm going to be pretty close to being out of stock of the 40's… after this morning. Until my next dry.

So apologies to those who miss out.

    Ray

    • Cheers,

Hope it's good. I liked Geronimo but they went downhill. I bought some biltong from biltong.com.au but it wasn't my style - different thing obviously… hope yours is good so I have a go-to for jerky.

I signed up for the first free Geronimo sample and they just never bothered to send it

woops, we had no stuck to give anyone, please buy our shit

yeah no thanks, crossed them off my list FOREVER. I will never ever use or recommend Geronimo to anyone in my entire life

I wish you luck with your business and look forward to trying your jerky out.

    • I just received mine and quite enjoyed it. I haven't had the hard, dry type before, but it's good. The first couple of pieces of warm were just right for me, but I didn't want to stop at 2. I think I would get mild because the chilli flavour builds up a bit. With a little bit of water I finished the whole bag though and it was delicious. The aftertaste is just the lovely flavour of the jerky. I loved it, thanks Ray.

I had to post this as a public service announcement… I've just received my shipment of Savage Jerky from the states, and it excrements all over the Aussie brands. I've had Jim's, Jack Links, home made, and they're ok, but the flavours and quality (more moisture than Jim's) are incredible. The Carolina Reaper is insane.

  • Got mine yesterday, though I ordered before the deal was posted.
    Mild.
Flavour: Good amount of heat and nice smokey flavours, a touck too sweet for mine. 9/10.
Texture. Nice and dry with a perfect amout of chew. 10/10
    Will buy again.

  • Got mine today. I have to say it's the best jerky I've ever had. The "warm" variety is the perfect amount of heat.

I used to eat Mariani Hot & Spicy by the truckload but this is way better. I think it's because it doesn't have any added preservatives.

Highly recommended! I just finished my sample bag. Okay I'm ordering some more now!

  • Received mine today - very nice!

  • Still haven't got mine, did people get a shipping notification or did it just arrive?

    • +1

Still finishing off final orders, it's on it's way…

      • Thanks mate, figured it had been busy as, you got ozbargained after all :)
