  • I wonder 39" means 3/4 size or full size ???

    • They had some smaller versions on the shelf in store too for $49. I can't remember the size (35"?) Perhaps that's the 3/4?

Im sure this was $129 when first in target anyone confirm.
I just got this for rocksmith but im sure this will just sit in the room never to get used.
Could not help myself at $71.

    • Yep. $129 is the price in Target at the Macquarie cemtrr Sydney

  • 2 left on ebay guys if you want it a little lower in price.

  • If you're ever actually going to play the instrument get an SX or an Artist Guitars guitar. It'll cost you double, but worth it because you'll actually be able to adjust it to get decent sound. I don't have experience with this one but I've seen a lot that are cheap but impossible to make playable.

For example here's a guitar + busker amp (can run on battery) with effects package for $239. Just the guitar and accessories is $169

I have bought one guitar from this shop and considered buying a couple of others but am not otherwise affiliated. They seem to have a good reputation though.

    • I was actually thinking of getting something from them at one point. How do you have, and how does it sound? I know they're made in China, but the site says the owners of Artist personally go down to the factory to ensure quality. As good as, say, Epiphone?

      • Not as nice as an Epi Plus Top I once owned, but the Epi had an intonation issue. The Artist I have is an earlier SSS model and it's not the same quality as the Epi but can definitely be adjusted as opposed to some of the cheap junk guitars I've tried to adjust. Intonation was almost perfect out of the box. Did have some trouble adjusting the action so it's a tiny bit higher than I'd like. Ended up moving back to very close to factory settings. So at that point at least for my sample of one I can say QC was good. For me as a casual player it was more than good enough and remains in my little collection. But carpal tunnel got in the way.

Damn. Sorry to hear that. I have a second-hand Epi ES-335… which I don't play since I had a kid. Kids are lots more fun that carpal tunnel though.

        • @flaminglemon:

I have kids and they take up time too. All good - I find other ways to amuse myself. I was never going to be a guitar legend. Tooled around with guitar since my teens though.

Can wholeheartedly recommend Artist, have bought two kids guitars and one full size from them and strings etc. great people, decent product, well manufactured for the price.

        • Well, if I ever sell off my other guitars and decided to go back to playing, I'll definitely be getting one from them. $100 less than Epiphones, which are my go-to for value for money.

        • @flaminglemon: I know this guitar would not be to everyone's taste, but I got this for my son who's into a bit of Nirvana. Incredible value and quality for $249!

@silvertone: Looks good. But you're right. It's not something I would like. I like my Gibson copies. The SGs, the 335s, the Les Pauls, etc. Them, and maybe Telecasters.

To be honest, I'm terrible at playing guitar, but I like how they look.

Be good enough for me it's just for rocksmith xbox one game cant see myself taking up guitars but if i do get into or or get better i can always upgrade and when i have more funds.
This is good enough for me for now at $71.
