I've had quite a few dud drives (bought because they were dirt cheap)…so don't mind paying a little bit extra for fast speeds.Why not get a class 6+ memory card and use a USB card reader instead?

It's surprised me a bit people saying they've had problems, actually. I - and to my knowledge the couple of friends who also use them - have never had any issues.
