Seeking Medical Typist Course

Hi OzBargain,

I'm interested in finding some work as a medical typist. However, I'm after a course (prefer a free one if possible) that could give me a certificate of competency in medical terminology…

I'm quite good with data entry etc. and have a strong interest in the medical field, so I'm just looking to get some certificate or qualification that could assist me in getting employed as a medical typist, whether it's at a radiology practise or even the hospital?

Appreciate it if someone who is a medical typist or has done a medical terminology course could help me.

Can't help with a free course unfortunately, but I did this unit https://oten.tafensw.edu.au/course/medical-terminology-state… several years ago as part of another course I was doing with OTEN. It was an excellent course, quite comprehensive and the tutors/teachers running the course were very helpful - I live in Perth so it was a more convenient (and much less expensive) way of doing the same unit over here.
