The products you find on AnyDigital are all stock from our overseas suppliers. This is how we achieve prices that are lower than what you might find in the big retail chains here in Australia, for the exact same item. We ship your order direct from large worldwide distributors in Hong Kong (most electronics in the world go through Hong Kong's massive trading port before arriving in their destination country) to your door, with express worldwide delivery via couriers such as FedEx and DHL.
Thanks for that
That is from our website. These prices are not able to be achieved with Aussie stock, but we still provide a 12 month warranty.
If it's not Australian stock then it's no bargain.
Not a bargain at all just a rep getting free advertising
Ebay has these for $599 Free shipping
DWI is still cheaper https://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/product.asp?idPro…
If it was Aussie stock it would be a bargain but its not
eBay sellers and DWI are foreign companies, so any warranty issues require sending the item back overseas probably at your cost. If that is not an issue for you then that's fair enough and you could go to them.
are the warrenty's with canon or nikkon etc in australia
or overseas
also do you qualify for the cash rebates etc or deals that they have (since its not local stock)
DWI Offers local warranty the same as you do. If you wish too claim GENUINE PENTAX Warranty you also would have too send it overseas so don't mislead potential buyers
DWI Offer local warranty
And yet again you are also beaten by
Digital Camera Warehouse is better value and they have a shop front
Who offer a shopfront off which you don't do this so effectively people will have too post the camera back too you at their cost so don't mislead people with your awsome warranty services when in fact your offering what most other local importers offer
hows the shipping cost like too?
http://www.digidirect.com.au/slr_cameras/pentax/pentax_k-x_d…
they are a bit more expensive
but have a shop front
and baragining (i got a canon from these guys, they knocked the price down and threw in some bags and filters in it too)
djones145 they are imported so its not local warranty on Nikon or Canon if you want Nikon Local use
http://nikononbroadway.com.au/index_files/nikononbroadwaydig…
For the Extra $100 (after cashback) the D90 is better value getting it local than this mob
Also The Good Guys match and beat the prices of Nikon on Broadway so keep that in mind
how is >$650 $100 less than the $1000+ d90?
aaahhhh
was thinking of upgrading to a 50d
HN were selling at a crazy price!
although might wait until i get to HK since it might be cheaper
50D aint a bad camera mate unless you really need professional features it's not worth it I went though D80-D700 and in the end went back too a D90 all those features that looked good ended up never getting used
aaahhh icic
currently have the 450
got a 50mm f/1.4 in hk (last week, haven't fully tested it yet)
and also have the normal kit lens
was thinking of the 50d upgrade but might wait
The 50D is a reasonable upgrade from the 450D the little LCD screen makes setting Exposure settings a delight
BenMHarvey we never stated anything about how 'awesome' our services are. We posted the deal as we believe it is a good price, which is then up to the opinions of all Ozbargain users. We are not trying to mislead anyone so please don't assume so. Sending the product back overseas for warranty would be at our cost, not the customer's, so it makes no difference to their pocket.
Do you provide the customer with an express post or registered satchel for Warranty services? Or Allow them too hand deliver it too you in QLD?
If not then there is a postage cost too the consumer this is what I am saying was misleading but I agree its cheaper than the consumer sending it back back directly too HK
Any return postage cost the customer has would be repaid once the item is returned and confirmed for repair/replacement.
Hope that helps
Can you please explain this are you stating the consumer pays for postage to you then you reimburse the customer? Seems too go against what your website says
Either way if theres a postage cost too the customer too send it back too you simply be honest about it
thanks now i know about DWI..sounds good
DWI Covers warranty locally so please ignore what Anydigital said above please read
https://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/help/warranty-informati…
DWI is very reputable and have been in the game longer they handle warranty claims locally through an agent probally identically too how AnyDigital does it they are just far more honest and upfront about it
And cheaper too hence this is not a bargain
And cheaper too
$1 more expensive for me when including postage fees…..but I assume that is the DWI regular price….a $1 saving on a $670-ish camera is not that great a bargain….
Please stop being negative about us, you voted negative and that is fine but do not say that we are not honest or upfront. It does not say anywhere that DWI covers return shipping. We will happily do that if the product is deemed to need a warranty repair or replacement.
It seems you are very against us, you have had your say with the negative vote which is fair, but if you are going to keep bad mouthing our company please leave.
I didn't say DWI covers it i said they were upfront about it
All I'm saying is your saying you cover it and your website says the opposite
I'm just highly under the belief Ozbargain is for Bargains and if another company's regular price is lower than your SPECIAL price it sort of defeats the purpose of posting a bargain
the point of this website is for us to be informed of good deals
and also for people to discuss whether it is
and any issues with the website
you are a new webiste to us, u have to deal with the fact that we are defensive cause its a lot of money!
just provide the deals and let the public decide
if you prefer the black one, it's slightly cheaper here……with $45 shipping
Nice find Andy BuyMart is excellent and also have a No Fee Policy on returns:
"If it is found that the product is faulty, either us or our supplier will exchange it at no cost to you. If neither us, nor our supplier, has any more of the product in stock, then a full refund will be provided immediately."
Either way I'm not trying have anythign personal against AnyDigital, I'm in the market for a K-X for a mate and as such I've been looking around for the best price of which i feel this is hardly the best price
so what is the best price?
$669.00
Pentax K-x Digital SLR Camera - Black + Sigma 18-125mm Lens
Digital Camera Warehouse (NSW) | www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au | updated: 29-06-2010
$658.85
Pentax KX Digital SLR Camera - 18-125mm Kit
Ryda Superstore (NSW) | www.ryda.com.au | updated: 29-06-2010
granted better lens and i think both are aus stock
DCW is Imported but Ryda on the other hand is locally sourced stock and that is defitnely a better lense so yet again that's a better
So AnyDigital comes too a total of $669 for me with Shipping or i could buy it brand new local stock with a better lense for $658.85
Looking at DCW they may have some Local stock not sure they could clarify it but Ryda is defintely local
hi, you seems expert in dslr, can you recommend an entry level DSLR for me.
i prefer one with:
*liveview
*good batery life
*good (but not pro) quality of night shot
budget is around $600-ish (with at least 1 lens)
im looking at Canon EOS 450D Kit (18-55 IS). you think this is good?know better one ?
http://buymart.com.au/canon-eos-450d-kit-1855-is-p-41944.htm…
thanks alot
erwinsie your not going too beat the K-X for features and value. Definite performer against the Nikon D90. I'd only suggest a Canon or Nikon if you plan on developing the hobby proffesionally
http://www.ryda.com.au/Pentax-KX-Digital-SLR-Camera-18-125mm…
Thats the best bang for buck deal I can see
Your getting a Lense that has a decent focal length, manual focusing and its not a cheap plastic built lense its sturdy and decent
And Built in Image Satbilization is great on the Pentax vs other mobs lense stabilization
thanks alot d90 def not on my budget range
good thingsabout tis KX is i read its small n light
will think about this, a friend recommend canon 1000D
i previously own compact digicam canon and happy with canon quality but maybe different story with DSLR
cheers
add. just noticed the lens that this shop give is only 18-55 but ryda is 18-125. ofcoz go to the local.
BUT why in ryda, the 18-55 kit is more expensive?
Cause this Original Posters link is not a bargain Ryda is a great deal
The Canon and Nikon are great camera's but for the best bang for buck its the Pentax Hands down
hi thanks alot, i can confirm im now a pentax kx owner..
i took RED colour :)
pretty good price, Australian stock?
