Deus Ex Mankind Divided - 429.99

I love the game, but even that's a bit too steep for my liking.

    • Oops :P

    • I laughed more than I should have at this comment.

GOG has a sale on at the moment, make sure you check there to see if it's cheaper. GOG also let you buy in Australian Currency. https://www.gog.com/game/firewatch for example is $11.99 AUD. Steam has it for $11.99 USD.

Even at that price I couldn't recommend Firewatch…

      • Really? Why? People seem to rave about it. I haven't bought it so can't comment.

Possibly the most linear open world game I've ever played, I was continuously frustrated that every time I tried to explore it was just a wasted effort. It's a walking sim too, but more of a walking movie, no brain cells required to solve anything it just unfolded no matter what branching conversation choice you made. And the story was very ho hum. The only thing this game had going for it was the inane banter but even that got tiring by the end. So much potential but ultimately an empty experience.

        • Thank you. I'll steer clear of it as I do value gameplay over everything.

Bought DOOM last week for USD $15. This $39.97 is not much of a deal.

    • Was that from GMG or steam direct?

  • does anyone know if there were any games developers are letting ppl download for free??
i remember epic games let ppl download shadow complex remastered for free last year

  • Oh yeah I forgot Hyperlight Drifter is out. I was actually a backer from KS days…

I should probably go play it.

    • Shouldn't it be free for you then?

      • It is. I just forgot about it completely.

It's not on much of a discount, but I've heard fantastic things about Orwell, so I might just check it out this weekend.

EDIT - It has a demo. Perfect. Always great when you can try before you buy.

    • I was super hyped for Orwell. The moment they decided to release it in episodes weekly starting with the first episode being the demo, I played it and thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was and insta-bought. Reminded me of old school Uplink just with the overall feeling of sorts, but, based on a more modern day paranoia feel of security and protection and how far we are willing to go down that rabbit hole.
