Although this says not open to current audiblelistener members I was able to still get a free book following these steps:

1) Visit audible.com/summer url without logging in
2) select book
3) click checkout
4) when form appears to submit information click on the login link on the top right hand corner
5) after logging in the book should still be in your cart and you should be able to go to your cart and checkout

      Worked for me.
      Although I think when I joined audible a while ago I put in a US address.
      Try putting in a US address if you really want it.

      My account that has a credit card attached was refused for not being a new member, however, my other US-based account had no problems (without credit card but has gift credits). A family member with a similar account as my US one but is AUS-based is having issues. She picks a book and goes to the checkout but it says the cart is empty. She can't go further.

      Edit: Must have been a region restriction. She was able to get another book.

    Depending on the quality and the audiobook you've selected.
    Ranges from 40MB up to 300MB.

    The one I've selected is "Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hills" (One of my fav books) and the file sizes are 64MB for Part1 and 68MB for Part2 but in total play time is 16hrs 15mins.
