After a cheap STB, only needs to be SD, as its for an old TV.
Notice the HN HD one currently for $49, but does anyone know a SD box, preferably under $30???

Your better off buying a HD set-top box.. as the box should down scale the HD channels so that you can still view all the channels on your old skool tv. Just check that it has RCA video out (yellow video out).
Getting a SD set-top box means you can't even decode the channels, for the same price it's worth getting the HD box.
