  Is Jim Barry Watervale Riesling any good? Still recall the cheap and cheerful Liefraumilch from the uni days. It was bland but that's what we could afford. I've since tried Pikes and Petaluma which are good but a bit expensive.

    In general I prefer the Eden Valley rieslings that tend to be drier than those from the Watervale, but Jim Barry definitely makes a good drop and at under $12 a bottle this is a good deal. Liebfraumilch is a semi sweet German riesling that is way sweeter than any of these…. sort of this in a different bottle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVseZYLBM6c
