ANZ Online Saver - 2.85% Effective Today (29/11/16)

It looks like ANZ has increased the interest rate in their online saver from 2.75% for 3 months to 2.85% for 6 months.

It states it for new customers only.

How have peoples experience been with ANZ offering this interest rate for existing customers? Especially if you have other services with them?

They won't offer this to existing accounts but allow you to open new accounts since there's no fees. I used to do this every 3-6 months and built up dozens of these accounts but now I'm just like 🤷 ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  So if you already have an online saver, move your savings out. Close the online saver account and then reopen a new one?
  
  Or do you need to completely close down your whole ANZ account and then reopen a whole new account?

    I just kept adding new ones and moving balance across to each new one. Eventually I asked ANZ to close the old ones. They don't care about you having heaps.
