One thing to be mindful of is the whole band ecosystem. FitBit has a big social presence so it encourages you to challenge and participate with friends. It can be quite motivating to try and beat your mates.
i dont know others but beating mates with just doing extra steps to toilet doesnt really make me happy.

IMO the xiaomi mi band 2 destroys most bands in the market. Mainly because of its price, the fact that its actually waterproof and that it lasts more than 6 seconds on a charge. I have seen the alta and its alright and I get that the app is better than mifit but still..
