Code is accepted, but it doesn't seem to actually work

    • Yeah, I'd say it's just a testing code for MS

      • Yep, most likely.

  • +5

    Alabanza jesucristo!!

  • -6

Accept the code and everything else, but in the end does not appear an active subscription.
I do not think it works
Fake … you accept the code but the subscription is not activated

No, actually no one is claiming it is working.

  • hmm

  • Worked for me

  • +3

It seemed to work for me. Now extended til 2018.

    • Did you already have Xbox Live? Or this the first time? (I already have it)

      • Existing customer of a decade

        • very odd… seems to work for some ppl but not for others…

  • +1

Worked for me, subscribed until 10/3/18.

  • -4

You are welcome guys. Haters welcome tho.

  • It works!!! Thanks

  • -8

I mean I know it's not in the spirit of the community, but if I found something like this, I'd keep it to myself. Sharing with everyone only increases the chance of detection, which would then mean they'd resolve the issue and take it off everybody!

    • +3

If he found on it on some forum… the cat is already out of the bag, lol

    • +3

The free fallout a few months ago resulted in us getting $10 free. So that was still a good outcome.

    • no one likes you picklewizard

      • That's not very nice; why the personal attack?

        • Why would you not share it?? thats why…

        • @wtigers: Literally explained myself in the original post.

          You're not a nice person.

        • -2

@picklewizard: Get used to it cheif… Youre no a nice person, sharing is caring… GTFO

  • +3

it was redeemed, but my membership still valid only until Jan 2017.. not sure why it works for others..

    • +3

Similar here. Redeemed and said added, but expiry still shows end of my 24-month period in Feb 18. No extension.

      • I am wondering what will happen if I cancel my current 12+1 month prepaid code, and then try this code again. Not sure what cancelling does since it was prepaid??

        • same here. tried on 2 accounts.

  • Haha it worked!!! Got extended 1 more year until 2018 :)

    Thanks so much OP

    • -4

      HAHAHAAHA talk about being overexcited

  • +1

    Works

  • I think it worked for me as well thx.
But in the end I thought wrong.
    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

  • +1

    didnt work for me

  • not me

  • Something went wrong
Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate.

  • +6

please check your subscriptions. It may say it worked but after checking your subscriptions, you may find that your renewal date is still the same.

    • +1

Yup says confirmed but subscription didn't extend. Mind you I already have one until 2018.

  • Just worked for me. On the second attempt. Press space bar after entering copied code and should enter fine

  • +2

    IT FARKING WORKS !!!!!!

  • Worked for me, even past the 2 year limit. I'm sure it'll be removed. MS better not ban us…

    • I was about to try but what are consequences if MS find out about it, could a ban happen?

  • Didn't work for my Aus account. Redeemed via Xbox app

  • +1

Code accepted but not added to my existing live.
Good find anyway OP and congrats to those that it worked for :)

  • +1

Didn't work for me. Said confirmed but checking subscriptions, Xbox live was still cancelled.

    • Ditto on my cancelled account.

  • Didn't work for me I have the $1 Gold at the moment.

  • +1

Didn't work for my AU our US accounts.

  • +5

Said code accepted but didn't add to my current 12month sub. bummer

  • How can I do it on a mobile phone?

    • +1

login to xbox.com, click your profile (top right) then redeem code.
Enter said code, once activated click your profile again and hit subscriptions to check if it actually extended (or renewed) your live subscription.

      • Thanks. Redeemed successfully, butit still showed my subscription cancelled in September(expired).

        • +2

Yeah same happened to me unfortunately :(

  • Worked for my account, flip yeah, cheers!

  • +2

I wonder if using this could get you banned ..

  • +3

    accepted but didn't actually work

  • +1

Claims success but obviously isnt working for anyone. Deal should be removed

  • -2

any deal for PS by any chance? :D

  • Accepted but no change to sub

    • Same here no change tried through app as well.

  • +1

Code works, doesn't give me a new expiry date though. So not working for me by the looks of it.

    • Same here

  • Same as others, accepted the code but no increase. Tried both online and iOS app.

  • Worked like a charm via xbox.com!

  • No luck here.

  • It accepted the code for me, but didnt add any additional time. I just added 1 year of Xbox Live last week and expire in December 2017, so perhaps that is why.

  • +3

Redeems but doesn't modify the subscription expiry date. Guess we'll see what happens. Thanks anyway OP!

  • +1

Just a warning to fellow gamers…Xbox does and will track exploits like this and there may be unfavourable consequences for those who take advantage.

    • +6

      Spooky!

      • -3

Indeed, but is a downvote really necessary for a true possibility for those unaware?

        • I didn't downvote you man

      • +2

        oooooooooooooooooo xbox police!

    • +3

      Where's your proof of this?
It's not any gamers fault for using a code. It's THEIR exploit.

    • +2

yeah right.. the worst that would happen would be they revoke it. No big company would go banning people and causing bad word of mouth because of exploits like these..

      • +1

        key word: may

  • Yeah as others are saying, redeems, says adds 12 month but the actual subscription date does not change.

  • +3

    works but doesn't work

  • This website it blocked at school, better work when I get home

    • +1

      archive.is it.

  • +1

it'll be hilarious if not only does it not work, we get banned for using it

    • Yep — I don't think it's worth the risk

  • -6

lol if you people actually think microsoft won't remove it like they do with every other store glitch they have. use your (profanity) heads

  • +2

Let's see how long before we all get our accounts suspended!

EDIT Looks like it might not have worked for me - my AU account still lists the expiry date from March this year, but when I click to my Live settings I'm redirected to the Spanish language page.

  • I think it worked for me, now extended until Dec 2017

  • I redeemed, but I don't know how to check my membership expiry from the Xbox app. I have to wait until I get home to check it on the Xbox or my computer.

    • Checked … did not work.

Also, I had 5 friends redeem it and none of them got the 12 months.

As Twisty said (about 5 posts above)… "works but doesn't work".

  • Didn't work for me :(

  • said success for me

  • didn't work for me

  • No change for me. I have a feeling it might work if your expiration date isn't to far in the future. mine isn't until 1/9/2017 so I've still got ten months to go. I'd be curious of the exact dates that other users had.

  • worked for me via web by claiming via https://account.xbox.com/en-GB/PaymentAndBilling/RedeemCode

but will check the console this evening

  • Lol it worked.

    Thanks OP.

  • +2

Tried it on a few accounts, accepted but didn't show up under subscriptions.

  • worked for me on an inactive account. now have 12 months free gold, cheers

  • Worked perfectly. Thanks!

  • +1

Same as others, redeemed but Sub expiry date unchanged.

  • Yeah tried it on the app and PC on two different accounts and neither worked

  • is there a way to check if it worked on windows?
