Have been looking around the web to try and fi d out which car is better and reviews are quite mixed. So now I ask you guys. Between the two which would be better to get?
Both are around the same price as well

I have had a 2013 CX-5 since new. Not happy with its gear ratios in city driving meaning I use the manual mode a lot. Also, its i-select feature can stop functioning suddenly, particularly if the battery isn't kept well charged through regular use which is what happened to me.
For what it's worth, RACQ ratings, soon after I bought, put the Kia on top with CX-5 third. Wish I'd tested the Kia.
it's up to you
impossible to give any advice on what you have posted, as you have given absolutely no info about what you want it to do, your likes/dislikes etc…
the Mazda will be out of warranty
the Kia will likely have 2 or 4 more years left (can't remember if 5 or 7 years warranty)
Mazda will be out of warranty but it will 100% last longer than Kia and may not have any mechanic problem within years
Kia will have warranty left and after warranty it will be pain in the a$$.
Also the resale value of Mazda could hold a lot higher than Kia 100% guaranteed.
This is a no brainier I would 100% choose Mazda CX-5,such a fun car to drive around
Only you can tell which is the better car … for you.
I haven't driven either, nor considered purchasing. I'd probably pick the Mazda over Kia for resale value - unless the Kia is a better drive out of the two.
I have a Mazda CX-5 2014 and it's great. A few rattles in the back sometimes, No beep to confirm the cars locked and the indicators are very quiet but thats the best I can come up with as far as nitpicking it.
Which engine variant?
Can change the comparison and reltaive cost

The platinum is the top model from Kia and it probably still has a warranty (not sure if original would be 5 or 7 year?). The Max sport is the 2nd tier model (Below akera and gt?) CX-5
The CX-5 were considered the better/more popular medium SUVs at the time (probably still are but the Sportages are being better regarded these days but still have a lot of Korean/crap stigma for some reason)
The Kia is probably better value for money though - unless the looks/style etc are more important.
You should drive each one and see what you prefer.
