  • That's weird that Coles Online has the cheaper RRP than Woolies, normally they add another 15% to the price.

I was pleasantly surprised coz I thought woolies would be cheaper. Down down down

    • Ah of course! That's good to hear.

    • Bought OMO Sensitive last weekend at Woolies for $10.
(Had a $10 off $40 shop EDR offer, so effectively free. Bought up enough food with today's $15 off $50 shop EDR offer. Now have $50 off 4 x $50 shops at Coles, so will buy a few this week😀)

RRP doesn't matter much if only buying when on $10 special, which is pretty regular with these at Woolies, Coles, IGA 😯

      • Mind my ignorance how does this EDR work? I love free stuff. Hahaha

I have always found IGA to be so expensive. And never bothered or avoided them completely. Are they any cheaper or it's a hit n miss?

        • That's how we learn here - from each others experiences.

Woolies Every Day Rewards cards aren't that great for points, but grab & register a few under different family members names (pets are family too) - using different email but same address, & rarely use them.

(There are tricks to get multiple addresses from 1 email - add "." in a gmail address like [email protected] with [email protected] etc.
Similarly for addresses if you live in a house is to add 1/ etc in front of your address - 1/ 123 Easy St or 123a Easy St. Postie was amused when I explained why I had so many deliveries to multiple units at a house.)

You'll be sent attractive offers (ypi need to click link to register offer) like $10 off $30 + $15 off $40, then $15 off $50 shop to use over 3 weeks.
Offer may be for instant discount or equivalent points. Multi-week offers require shop each week to unlock next week offer for instant discount but not for points!

Last month I had 4 of those offers at once. I just spent the $15 (points) off $50 on 3 cards for a rare big shop. So saved $45 (in points) off $150, and someone left $5 change in self-serve checkout - bonus😀

Just finished similar offer but instant discount on 1 card - so needed to do each weeks shop to unlock next week.

Of course pay with discounted Wish cards for at least 5% off total price. On that $150 purchase I saved at least a further $7.50, meaning $52.50! Plus, most of my purchases were on special.

Also (new member) EDR cards get first delivery free & CashRewards offer cash back - posted as deals.

And when those offers run out, it's usually time for FlyBuys to offer something like my current $50 / points off $50 shops over 4 weeks.

To get 5% discount at Coles etc, I joined (free in deal) blatchysblues. Some discounts have reduced, but bought $200 Coles eGift cards last night for $190.

IGA has 1/2 price specials, like Woolies & Coles - often posted as deals. There are larger SuperIGA which are more competitively priced than smaller IGA.

          Recent 1c cheaper OMO deals…
IGA OMO deal (Wed 9 – Tue 15 Nov)
Woolies OMO deal (Wed 9 – Tue 15 Nov)

But the best deals are when you are paid more in cash back offers than you paid (coffee machines, Oral-B electric toothbrush, etc). So watch out for those rare deals.

          Have fun saving money😯

I got 6L of the stuff from Costco for $25 recently.

It has its own dispensing tap because it's too heavy to lift.

    • Awesome value for money!

I always hear about these Costco deals but I can't be stuffed getting a membership and the trip to the shop close to Melbourne CBD is a mission. Because I would need to get on the toll road plus parking.nah

How do you maximize the membership benefits? Any tips or tricks

      • I take orders from friends, and do a big shop.

      • You realise that's only a $5 saving? Probably not worth it. I think Big W sometimes has it that price as well

I do but considering my house hold goes through a lot of this stuff buying in bulk cheaper is a good savings for us. Have a wife n two kids. I'm unlikely to join Costco
