Kinda stuck what i can grab as gift for a colleague who's Canadian.
Just met him today due to working different shifts, know nothing about his interest/likes etc. Facebook does not show much at all.
Budget is below $30
Need to be able to buy and receive fast ish (3-5 days preferred)

Forget the plush - Aus Geo has inflatable wombats and kangaroos. Must easier to fit into luggage on the way home

If you are wanting something Aussie then souvenir shops have some nice ties. I'm not sure what state you are in but most places have souvenir shops.
You could buy a good bottle of Aussie red wine perhaps.

Sunscreen ,Aussie slang app./ or dictionary & a pair of Billabong shorts ( have a look in your local op. Shops - will probably be able to buy enough for both of you !! ) wrap all above ( apart from the app.) in lovely sunshiney paper & give the gift with a coffee + vegamite on well browned toast.
