Hi guys, my son is getting Lego Dimensions Starter Pack for Christmas on the Wii U. So that he can play it right away I was thinking it might be best for me to pop the game in (is that all I would need to do?) and let it get the updates it needs?
I've currently got a 16GB USB key hanging out the back but thinking I might need to put a bigger one in as I have heard Lego Dimensions is update happy - each new figure or pack triggers an update?
Grateful whatever advice you guys can give so that Christmas Day isn't spent updating everything :)
Cheers
There will be a lot of updates, correct. Not sure if the total size (I have a pocket hdd hanging off my wii u). The game disk comes with the content for the "original" packs, but all the packs released after September this year need to download extra content. There is a download menu for that in the game so (I think? I haven't looked too closely) you can download the dlc you need in advance of having it.
You'll need to start up the game to get it to update, although once installed it should keep itself up-to-date. (I found this out when it installed an update that was broken, hopefully that's fixed by now).
