Black Friday 2016 Is Live. Please build Me a PC

So with Black Friday deals now live, can computer saavy Ozbargainers build me a PC with deals on PC parts? It will most likely be used for video and photo editing. And maybe run as a server for Plex.

My budget is around $1000 just for the barebones PC as I'll get peripherals with the other bargains down the line.

Edit: Sorry for not initially saying please

Too vague on requirements and no budget provided. Also people respond better when you do some of the leg work yourself and doesn't hurt if you say please.

    Plex server? Doesn't need much.
Photo editing? Most important is your screen.
    Video editing? I don't know.

    Gaming? Sure, the list below:

    OS: Windows 10 Home
    CPU: Core i5-6500
    GPU: GTX 1060 (6GB)
    RAM: 16GB DDR4-2666
SSD: 512GB (main drive) Samsung EVO 850
HDD: 2TB (game storage) 5,400rpm Samsung
    PSU: 80+ Gold, 500W, SFX-L

    Case:
    Silverstone RVZ02
    FractalDesign Core 500
    CoolerMaster MasterCase Pro 5

    Display:
    21:9 Ultrawide
    3440x1440 QHD resolution
    60Hz and 5ms RT
    32-38in size
    Flat / Curved IPS

    You're looking at ~$2,000.
Most games will run at UW 1440p resolution.
You can get a good blend of Ultra and High graphics settings.
Most titles will run around the 55-65fps rating.
To get better graphics, resolution, and/or framerates you will need:
    - a faster CPU, RAM, GPU, and Monitor…
…and this will add another $1,000 to the price for only marginally better graphics…
…not worth it, it is the point of diminishing returns!

    • Thank you, are any of those parts part of the Black Friday sales?

    • GTX 1060 user chiming in.

GTX 1060 isn't going to drive 1440p display at 60fps consistently. Maybe lower in most circumstances, you would ideally get a 1070.

It would of course, blow the $1k budget.

      • Probably not at Max/Ultra Settings.
But it should do so on High Settings for a lot of titles. Also depends on how optimised the title is, we now have a scenarios like Arkham Knight.

I wanted to recommend the GTX 1070, but the GTX 1060 strikes a good balance in performance. And in general has a lot of bang for buck, or FPS per $.

The RX 480 is still a mixed bag, because it's the best/flagship Polaris card, and that's AMD's low-end architecture. AMD's Vega is what is meant to compete against the GTX 980, 980Ti, 1060, 1070, 1080, 1080Ti. And a lot of gamers are waiting for that to get some decent cards for FreeSync purposes.

And ofcourse, AMD's Zen CPUs will finally have people ditching their old Intel Core i5's, and have some competition. Let's see if they have a decent 6700K alternative.
