UPDATE: Looks like most of our orders are being cancelled. Even my own order did: all items "couldn't be found" by staff. Not sure if that means a stock count error or sticky-fingered employees. I've altered the title but might have to take this deal down altogether. In the meantime if you want to take the risk, you can. Did anyone at all get at least a 'sent' confirmation?

There's a bunch of PS3 games selling for $1 on EB games.

A bunch of caveats, though:

• Postage seems to start at about $9, so mainly a deal if you're buying several
• New as in "not used", not recent releases
• More like "new discs, ex-display cases and manuals", if past experience with EB online sales is anything to go by. Expect bumped and creased cases where stickers were removed, thumbed-through manuals, and definitely no shrink wrap
• In the last sale posted here, EB games stock system was crap. You might not get all the games you order, and if you want to get a refund on the postage, you'll have to call them and chase them up.

    they know they would be hit big time with orders when they do $1 games
    they are con artists and i smell more to this than what we see,
    needed a cash injection for a week or so then release all the cash later?
    Short term loan?

  They cancelled my order except one cheap item ($4). I still had to pay $15 for delivery of an item that I would NOT have buy if I had known that I would not get the other items.
  I have emailed them, but no response.

  What can I do?

    As others have said, you can initiate a Paypal dispute or credit card chargeback.

  I sent eb games a message about my sitation that my order was largely cancelled but postage stayed the same (see my only other post above). I said that I would invoke the ACCC or an Ombudsman to oversee any dispute that may arise. This is eb games response today:

  "We're sorry to hear about the issues you've had with our new Ship From Store
  feature.

  As shipping from multiple locations is a new venture for us, there are a
  couple of teething issues we are currently working through.

  I have refunded the total shipping cost for you now.

  Please be advised that the funds can take 5-10 business days to appear in
  your account depending on your bank's processing times.

  We apologise for any inconvenience caused with this one."

  Total shipping refund is great, I await the refund into my credit card…

  I implore anyone else aggrieved to take similar action.

  I smell we get another dick smith coming. Yes this store should be banned for such click baiting and dodgy retailing.
  Just complained about the 'missing' stocks and they promised to cancel the shipping cost. Now when the items arrive (BIG IF) then will see the quality. If bad, will raise a CC dispute with the bank.

  Of $189 of games, I got $12 sent. Now have to argue with them over the $30 postage they haven't refunded me.
