16 hours was the longest wait time I could find on searching here.. And it may take a further 24 hours for them to reply to me.. I need it or the cash back by tomorrow

Hmm… only issue is $5 service fee, which may offset the wish savings. Although better than missing out if it's a really good deal.

Not sure why u are complaining when ur buying the gift card with a tight schedule to try to save the 5%.
I always have the gift cards bought and ready to spend. I mean, if it's not for games it can always be used for groceries.
I think this is entirely preventable and user fault.
To be fair I purchased it 2 days prior to sale and from all accounts on here the wait was a couple of hours.
Of course everything is preventable in hindsight
Well I can share from my experience, most egift cards arrive in 24 hours, say 70% of the time, and 100% of the time it arrives in less than 3 days. I'm not sure why my couple of times that took 3 days was so long, and I did wonder why it was so long but always got my receipt quickly so I knew I had proof and had no worries.
But certainly if u have waited 2 days, 48 hrs and u haven't gotten it u can try contacting them.

Yeah they charged my credit card successfully immediately but didn't release the e-gift card until several days later, I almost missed out on the special I was using it for at DMs

Yep it took about 3-4 days for them to issue my first one. Really annoying there is no phone number to contact them on, and they only replied to email after the gift card had been issued.
They suggested the hold up was on my banks side validating the high value order due to fraud commonly associated with gift card purchases
