Urban List Hey You Free Coffee Bait & Switch?

The Urban List is running a promotion (supposedly) to get a free coffee. Simply vote, and you get one. See https://www.theurbanlist.com/sydney/vote-for-your-fave-coffe…

So I voted, and I get an e-mail saying "Click the link below to redeem your free coffee", but it seems like you don't get anything unless you set up Visa Checkout as a payment method for Hey You.

This is basically an existing promotion. The Urban List thing didn't get me any free coffee. :(

Seems a bit misleading to me. Any thoughts?

    Not misleading at all. If you had read the terms and conditions https://www.theurbanlist.com/melbourne/hey-you-terms-and-con… it plainly states:

    • One free instant coffee voucher, redeemable on the Hey You App via Visa Checkout only.

    Hmm buried in the Ts&Cs? Anyway, I emailed them, and they agreed that maybe it is not clear, and offered to arrange a free coffee for the cafe I voted for. That was pretty nice of them considering.

    Like I said, nice of them to offer me an actual free coffee after I emailed them to ask about it.
