where can I sell diamonds and gold?

We inherited an earring from an in law who passed. It's a single earring with diamonds and white gold.
It's been 'valued' by a jeweller here at $3300.
Obviously that's just a jeweller's bloated valuation but I'm wondering where in Australia I can sell diamonds or white gold etc? Is there a well known source anywhere in Australia?

Thanks for any tips/advice. I'm assuming we'd get maybe $1k for it. 18 karat white gold and diamond weighing 0.12 karats with some smaller diamonds surrounding it.
Sound about right or am I pushing it with anything over $500/600?

      You're not allowed to sell anything on OzB as far as the rules are concerned.
      This is only to put up ads and coupons.

    Generally the jewelers value it for insurance purposes… I would challenge the jeweler to buy it off you at half price.

    Given the diamonds are technically worthless rocks - the gold is the most valuable bit.
