They used to be… depends what you want to spend I guess.
There are probably cheaper in Little Bourke St or Arcades and laneways if you look around.
Some cheap places Watch Batteries don't last, so you don't save much as you have to have it done again sooner than you otherwise might.
Bob Shao, 100 Russell St - he does a lot of watches for the expensive brands in Collins St yet his prices are really good

Ok the 100 russell street charged me $12 for a battery change.
130 russell charges $15.
The strap depends on what strap you get.
I do change batteries myself.
Got the toolset from ebay and buy brand name batteries from ozzie sellers with great reputation from ebay.
No issues so far, save about $20 per battery change.
Toolset also helps with band change and shortening.If you have the toolset,you can do it yourself.just buy a battery online.
I know I'm late to this but I know who not to use - don't go to Bob's at 100 Russell. He destroyed a $350 watch that I took in and also a $200 bracelet. He's a hack.
